Just glad to see the back of him tbh. Can't say I enjoyed watching a single game, except maybe first half against the Dutch. Getting to a final and not enjoying it says it all really, he made basic errors and was always too reactive, second half against the Dutch being an example, they added a midfielder and it stifled us, but we ploughed on anyway until very late. Yes he got some results, but not against anyone we shouldn't have beaten anyway with the respective teams lined up. I just couldn't see a style or formation that made me want to watch. It was dour saved by a few moments of brilliance. I just hope he realises his dream to take over the stripey soppy nigels. He took three of their players along and despite the plaudits for guehi, he was always a mistake waiting to happen every game, indeed he was at fault for at least one goal and could have been more, konsa did better against the Dutch tbh. Then Eze being played ahead of Gordon sums him up. We didn't even get to see the third nigel, what was the point, but chose to leave grealish behind who can change games!!! Cheerio sir nigel of the nonces. Suggest we’ll have to agree to disagree- btw Grealish totally overrated and deserved not to go

Personally the FA should try and go all out for Carlo Ancelotti. Only a year left on his contract and I'm sure Real Madrid will want Xabi Alonso next rather than renew Carlo's contract.

I don’t want a foreign manager, I was never comfortable with it before and I won’t be again. A nation should be a nation. I know some players have a tenuous national link but they have chosen their country for life. A foreign manager is just a mercenary.

I agree but also don’t believe any of the English candidates are suitable

We can tout who ever to the job, doesn't mean they will want it.

I'd love to see Klopp do it, but I doubt he'd be interested.

I suspect we would all want an Englishman if one was good enough but I am not convinced those touted are in that mould. Lee Carsley would suit the FA best as the backroom team are already in place whereas a foreign manager would want his own bods brought in. Interesting that Fabio Capello has the best percentage win ratio as an England manager where Southgate comes in 5th.

I'd take Klopp but I doubt he'd join - Howe I'd be happy with as he likes a high press and attacking football and prefer over Potter and defo a no to Carsley, Gerrard, Lampard and Pochettino Carsley's a member at my golf club
