We have reaped what we have sowed this season
Poor recruitment strategy and poor decision making regarding MA meant that whilst we probably had the funds to bring the quality in that we needed to bring in to keep us up the players we wanted preferred to join a properly run club with ambition like Bolton……….
We don’t have a number 10 because we gave Fraser away and won’t pick the only other midfield player that can actually pick a pass
Playing the three in the middle of the park we did today was ludicrous and I didn’t get all the positive views about Fleming, he was just as deluded as MA with his selections
Take a look at the Bolton reserve bench today, Collins couldn’t get a start and all of them would improve our team

Fleming is as bad as Apples just has more charisma and charm mind you that’s not difficult You would hope NJ will have a radical rethink regarding selection and shake things up big time Hopefully Camara is soon to return to add some quality to the midfield but as it stands my midfield three if we are playing 3-5-2 would be Coventry or Dobson , Camara and Watson I would think NJ will be swapping both Wingbacks over to the new recruits pretty sharpish |

Noticed him outside the ground at around 2.45pm with two club security guards don’t know where he was going. Incidentally didn’t see him in the directors box and with around 25 mins to go there was no one in the directors box where the usual Charlton directors sit . |

Another set of gems brought in by the recruitment team this window. My thoughts on the new signings so far - Ladapo. Looks shot to pieces. Easy to see why Ipswich didn’t want him. Palpably unfit. Why is he even playing ? Poor loan. Gillesphey. He’s got a mistake in him . Looks ok, but he’s no Anton Ferdinand, let alone Rio. Edwards - can’t see his best position yet ? Coventry - he’s no better than Dobson, based on what I can see. Fiorini - oh dear. 🤦♂️ Why 🙄 Bakinson - nothing special, better defensively than going forwards. Too early to judge Small, the Harrogate boy & the Swindon keeper, although with “Flapper” Maynard playing the way he is , we may see Ward (?) at Reading next week. All in all …I’d say the new signings are not great. There’s certainly no world beaters in there. |

But to suggest NJ would've thought any aspect of that performance was anyway good is a bit much... We're toilet,I hope NJ enjoyed his break and is fully energized because this overhaul is going to be A LOT of work. |

Positives...Port Vale are pretty bad as well, it's us v them, Reading will be ok. If we can be a bit less rubbish than them we'll be safe...that's the positive.
