I don't think that we are in need of Warnock's survival expertise just yet so who is out there?
What kind of manager is out there who would be a good fit to take the club forward.
Realistic candidates only please. I will kick it of with Nathan Jones who for me would be the obvious choice along with Michael Duff.

Nathan Jones. Has to be someone with a decent record, we might as well have kept JJ as manager, his successors have achieved nothing since he went.

To have a genuine tilt this season - Warnock.
An ambitious appointment for the future - Nathan Jones.
A proven & experienced team builder - Mark Warburton.
Andy Scott’s likely pick - Mike Bassett.

Does Nathan Jones connect with the fans? Feel like he could be another Appleton in that respect? Not that it’s needed if the results are coming in!

John Eustace or Gary Rowett for me. The latter played for us but recently managed Millwall.

My concern with Jones is that he’s only really ever achieved at Luton, elsewhere a total dud. Rowett would be my choice.

Only one man can save us and organise that shit defence. And will get the fans behind him .And that person is none other then the Tank Jorge Costa.

I haven’t a clue who to suggest, to be honest.
Many of the names suggested are fine, but they have to be persuaded to drop into League 1. In my view that will be difficult to say the least - and probably the reason why we got Appleton in the first place.
My suspicion is that Appleton (and Scott) have been given this window to get the players they want, and the owners are gambling on there being no relegation this season. Then the whole situation will be re-evaluated in the summer.
Not saying that’s the right way forward, just a nasty feeling in my water.

As above Rowett, jones or Duff sensible and realistic doubt Jones or Rowett would work in league 1 but you don’t ask you don’t get do you. I don’t anyone could be worse than Applecore at this point.

Rowett.
Before we even dare to dream of being expansive and free flowing,we need defensive organisation and to shed this soft underbelly.
Impressive four year stint at another club,I'd like us to be horrible to play against.

We need someone who can jump in and get a tune out of this team. We have most of the players that we need now. Which should on paper get us to Mid-table. But if we want to push for promotion next season we someone who has the experience we need someone like Kieran McKenna. not that he would some to us.

Does the appointment of Fleming signal where we are at? Most managers would want to bring in their own assistant manager, surely they’d not be that short sighted to hire and then have to fire the geezer in a matter of days? Can’t see Appleton going anywhere for a couple of months at least.

If that was the case, why wait? Why not pull the trigger a while back, unless….. Fleming is going to be the main man. I’d be gutted if that was the case!

If Appleton is replaced, the successor will just be someone else that does Scott's bidding and deflects the flak from where I think it should be directed.

An old head who is respected by the players that will cost money.
Or Bowyer or Powell back or Nathan Jones
