Someone has told me that Bowyer & Taylor have had a bust up today.
No idea if it is accurate, although the info came from someone who has told me accurate stuff before.
Bad news if true.
This leads to one of two conclusions - Taylor signs an improved deal with us this week, or Taylor is sold from under us this week.

He's worth 800m. Why can't the cunt fuck off. I'm 22 (profile says otherwise, was my dad's). Younger lads than me are growing up with a club that is on its knees, absolutely kills me. I'm from the Midlands and know a lot of blues fans. They were on their knees yet a couple seasons later are being linked with players for 7/8 Mill. Why ffs is it us that ends up with this guy. I get it, could be worse, could be Bolton or Bury. I do get that. But for a football fan this is heartbreak and its gut wrenching. From Saturday, to this? What is going on with our club. Get a trip to Belgium sorted, I'm there.

I've been told that Taylor did not have permission to miss training so if this that was the case perhaps LB has reacted to it and quite rightly so.
If Taylor has disrespected LB and the club then he should go, as good as he is.

Obvious it may not be the same source, but this was the first I saw of it hours ago

To be fair to our fans (who pay Taylor’s wages) he gives out plenty on Twitter, including individual slanging matches with Charlton fans on Brexit (he is left wing). If you are a social media tart like Lyle is, you can’t have it both ways. Bang on If it was a player that didn't play up to it social media he wouldn't be getting the tweets and whateber else. If he's thinking about it it's down to him. Does he want a 2 year contract earning more and maybe getting play offs, or does he want to wear down a year and get offered a shit contract by an owner who isn't prepared to offer more than half the wages? If I was 29 and had one last kick of the ball I know I'd choose the wages and the chance of championship glory I hope he doesn't have the mindset I have, I really do. Even if he chooses to wear out his contraxt or stay until Jan, he will go up there with Solly, Jackson (only naming the recent hero's) If he goes now, he knows what position he leaves us in. At the end of the day (hate that saying), he's 39. One last shoot at it with more money in the bank, you can't blame him Who you can blame is the cunt that hasn't been to the valley since 2014. The guy that owns the club he has seen one game play. The guy that is asset stripping or selling to keep debts down, whatever you see it, he is hindering our club. If Taylor goes it is THE sign that he doesn't want CAFC to stay in this division. If that happens I am done with the club (at home, I will always support them when I can). I don't get to many home games as it is due to travel, but the passion to get there is gone when the passion from the owner is to take us down. My heart goes out to players like Williams, Phillips, Solly, Jackson, the rest when they see a team and a group of mates being picked away at like a corpse. It's devastating and the sooner we get him out the better. What a strange set of responses. I completely disagree with your original statements and Lyle and his social media. To summarise, you’re saying - “He’s asking for it” because he uses social media (or the way he uses it). He’d be getting those sorts of tweets even if he was the best behaved social media user out there. It’s easy to throw threats around nowadays and not get any consequences (except for a tiny few). There are nasty people out there who throw stuff like that around all the time. Harassment is Harassment. End of. He’s not deserving of the shit that’s getting slung at him at all...Even if he does end up leaving! I wouldn’t blame him personally, I’d blame Roland.

All the money being paid into this club by fans and the owner is cashing in on all our players to make himself profit, using us like a fucking eBay auction. The geezer is a wrong un,
Out of league 1 and he wants us back there. I

It’s amazing the hysteria caused by a random rumour This is from Brentford He is among a number of forwards Brentford have enquired about while seeking a replacement for Neal Maupay, who has joined Brighton in a £20m deal. The Bees want Basel’s Albian Ajeti but the Switzerland striker could be out of their reach. Taylor will be playing against Stoke on Saturday ... Of course he going to draw attention to himself he had a great season last year but he nearly 30 and still untried at championship level ...but every player has his price look at Hazard and Maguire if someone was to offer 8/10 mill we could not turn it down Well explain why he didn't not turn up for training this morning? It wasn't because he had the shits.

He’s not deserving of the shit that’s getting slung at him at all...Even if he does end up leaving! I wouldn’t blame him personally, I’d blame Roland. Maybe I said it the wrong way, I havnt seen the 'harrassment' you say. I've seen genuine fans tweet him asking him for information and asking him to stay. Beyond that once they abuse him or take it too far, I agree, no matter who it is too far. What I'm saying is that a person who used social media like he does (ie our new CB signing, with Taylor showing pictures of him), and him tweeting a picture of Williams before he signed, those on social media will contact him and tweet him more than they would say Paddy Baeur, as he never did that side of it. I'm not degrading him or having a pop. What he's done for us off the pitch, especially with our fans in this modern social media world has been great, he's linked us to the team almost the same way Bowyer has. But when you get involved with fans on social media, you have to expect it back the other way. Whatever happens, good luck to him. As I've said, if I was him I'd go. He's not a Charlton fan, he has a couple good years left in him and he could earn 3x the money and maybe get play offs. But my point is, the way he is on social media, he has to expect it back. It's aggregating what he posts. Like when he posted the contract GIF, it's misleading and no one knew if that was AFC Wimbledon, us, or what it turned out to be a new player. What he's posted tonight is not clear, leave me alone fans, leave me alone other clubs, leave me alone Bowyer? How does that help? Turn your social media off, think about your career. I don't tweet when I have a new job lined up. Thatss my point. No intention to argue, and I know I've said it in way too many words, but that's my opinion.

Brentford just got £20M for selling a striker. If they get a £3M bid rejected they can just offer £4M Thursday and get him. They have actual cash to buy him 4x-5x over. No way they do not get this one over the line with our shit owner. He might be the player who gets them to the PL. They would pay £5m and he would be a bargain.

Brentford have received £35million in transfers this summer and with the signing last night of striker Saman Ghoddas for £7m and the right winger from Troyes the day previous for £6m that takes their outlay to £33m..... I’m hopeful that you are wrong and they feel they don’t need to offer £4m and then £5m for another striker , especially one that’s 29 , doesn’t fit their current model and takes them into negative £’s on their summer dealings.....

The whole thing is a disgrace. The owner is the reason protests have started and as far as i am concerned he is culpable for all the protests at the club. He is doing things on purpose now to provoke fans and needs to be careful that he does not incite trouble as he will be facing criminal charges himself.
Fans are passionate about this club and we are the reason this club is even playing back at the valley. He is going against fans wishes all the time and purposely trying to "wind them up and provoke them. The football club is all some people have in life.

The sad thing about this whole affair is that we have a filthy rich owner, a manager who is adored, talented AND wants to be with us not just for a salary but for the challenge. He is being put in the most unnecessary position when we should be building a season upon the foundation of the last. We could easily get 20k back at home with Lee in charge, some signings and some effort. Lookman and Taylor would have been fun. Here's what you could have won. It's all good though as the balance sheet will look stunning come end of fiscal.

Probably not a popular opinion, but if Lyle doesn't want to sign a new contract and wants to leave, AND Bowyer is given the money from his sale to buy a replacement like Toney, I don't think it would be the worse thing.
It's vital this season that we have players who want to be here.
Obviously the most likely scenario though given historic events is that Lyle is sold and we sign a last minute loanee in a desperate attempt to replace him.

If LB and the club want to keep him badly enough, surely his new contract offer will reflect that, and be on a par with what Brentford would offer him .

I honestly believe that Lyle wants to stay. I really like your optimism Revilo, but I think if he has the option of 5k+ more a week for a team potentially challenging in the top half of the division, he will fancy it.

In response to ExeterAddick:
True and the fact that Brentford is still a London side so it's not like he's moving up north. When you think of it like that then 5k more a week would be the pull. Unless we then offer him more to rival this? So many questions and such little time until the deadline!

A video on sky (no link sorry) suggesting that Lyle doesn’t fit with Brentford’s transfer model as at 29 has a low sell on factor and also the fact he plays best in a two striker system which Brentford don’t use. Just wanted to add this for info, if anyone can add the link then great.
