Doesn’t bear thinking about if he goes especially to a rival in championship if prem team came in I get that but we are bigger than Brentford You'd think that but seems they are bigger than us these days. What have we become.

What have we become. Brentford's owner has not told their fans in a message on their website that it's going to be tough this season but he's confident the manager can avoid relegation. Brentford's fans are not so worried about this season that nearly all of them would take 21st place right now if you offered it to them. In those regards, Brentford are now definitely a bigger Club than Charlton.

I hope Taylor stays although I would think there will be an increased offer. If he does stay what impact could this have had on his determination to carry on with LB work ethic or ambition to achieve with the club ?

So according to Sky the club have turned down a bid for Taylor as has been reported on all social media. Now call me skeptical (sp), but I have a couple of theories about this-: 1) Taylor was never going to be sold, but by the club saying a bid has been rejected it shows RD in a 'good' light that he has held onto one of our best players and he gets some kind of kudos! 2) Taylor is up for sale, first bid rejected, 2nd or 3rd bid accepted out comes the "We did all we could to hold onto him, but he wanted to go as it was a massive pay rise for him, and we couldn't match their offer" 3) As number 1, but add "We did all we could to get 5 players over the line, didn't quite get it done in time, but hey we've still got Lyle" 4) All a smokescreen to deflect from AD leaving for Boro 5) As number 2, but "deal didn't go through until late and it didn't allow us enough time to get any replacements in; but RD has promised we can have the funds in January to strengthen IF we are pushing for promotion"
Anything I've missed?

Hopefully that’s Brentford sorted for a Striker , surely they weren’t putting 2 bids in totalling £10million in one day...
🤞🏽 That’s end of speculation

I can't even see how asset stripping helps RD in this situation.
I think its malicious intent to get back at everybody who has protested, advocated harassing him, his friends, or family etc.
he is going to strip as much value as he can and drive the club into the ground.

Djiksteel wasn't for sale mate, we turned down two bids however he has just signed for them Die Duchatelet, just fuck off and die.

Lyle put a picture saying Sabali- which means patience.
Also posted a song saying Leave Me Alone. I’d say the man has some thinking to do...

Sounds like Lyle's nephew has been busy on his twitter account again. One of the things I was talking about with a mate just now, he showed a bit of distain for our fans during that contract saga and yet again today people posting ‘if he goes then fuck him’ and that nonsense. Why would the man be loyal against that? Save that kind of talk for if he does actually go.

I don't follow twitter or facebook or any other social media platforms.
From what little I have seen, celebrities (including footballers) post all kinds of stuff, most of it off-the-cuff, cryptic in one way or another or even plain nonsense.
If Lyle Taylor wants to be left alone then fine, I'm not harassing him or getting on his case. He doesn't know I exist unless he reads ITTV. If he wants to drop hints and be mysterious, that's up to him.
But (as a general observation, not just relating to Lyle Taylor) I do wish sometimes that players would use social media to just enlighten concerned fans in a simple way that leaves no room for misunderstanding.

To be fair to him he is getting harassed on Twitter and Instagram. If I was him I'd have a break from it all and focus on Charlton

If I was him I'd have a break from it all and focus on Charlton To be fair to our fans (who pay Taylor’s wages) he gives out plenty on Twitter, including individual slanging matches with Charlton fans on Brexit (he is left wing). If you are a social media tart like Lyle is, you can’t have it both ways.

Celebrities like to use them to interact with their fans. But as well as reasonable criticism, there are many people who just want to be insulting or abusive. These platforms don't seem to be moderated at all except regarding the most extreme illegal stuff maybe. Footballers in Taylor's position don't need moronic abuse at times like this, I fully accept that.

Perhaps we feel like cashing in on Taylor now instead of seeing him walking away in the summer for nothing.
I'm not daft though, it's hardly cashing in knowing where the money will end up.
However if by some miracle it went towards buying two strikers I would take it to be honest.

If you are a social media tart like Lyle is, you can’t have it both ways. Bang on If it was a player that didn't play up to it social media he wouldn't be getting the tweets and whateber else. If he's thinking about it it's down to him. Does he want a 2 year contract earning more and maybe getting play offs, or does he want to wear down a year and get offered a shit contract by an owner who isn't prepared to offer more than half the wages? If I was 29 and had one last kick of the ball I know I'd choose the wages and the chance of championship glory I hope he doesn't have the mindset I have, I really do. Even if he chooses to wear out his contraxt or stay until Jan, he will go up there with Solly, Jackson (only naming the recent hero's) If he goes now, he knows what position he leaves us in. At the end of the day (hate that saying), he's 39. One last shoot at it with more money in the bank, you can't blame him Who you can blame is the cunt that hasn't been to the valley since 2014. The guy that owns the club he has seen one game play. The guy that is asset stripping or selling to keep debts down, whatever you see it, he is hindering our club. If Taylor goes it is THE sign that he doesn't want CAFC to stay in this division. If that happens I am done with the club (at home, I will always support them when I can). I don't get to many home games as it is due to travel, but the passion to get there is gone when the passion from the owner is to take us down. My heart goes out to players like Williams, Phillips, Solly, Jackson, the rest when they see a team and a group of mates being picked away at like a corpse. It's devastating and the sooner we get him out the better.
