I’d rather all of our players run down their contracts and leave for free than get sold for millions only for it to go into RD’s pockets - especially if they are our best players and leave massive gaps in the squad once the season has started and with no chance of replacement until January (if they are even replaced)

I am absolutely fuming about this. If Taylor leaves in this transfer window my season ticket is going back to Charlton and I will not be attending another game until the scum has gone. I completely understand your your thoughts on that Dick, and many others feel the same, but it’s going to take a lot more than our gestures of not attending to affect him. He isn’t bothered by anything that doesn’t directly affect him. Its LB that I feel sorry for. All that hard work rebuilding the club, and giving the fans some hope, being destroyed by someone who doesn’t give a f*ck about LB or anything Charlton.

Is Bexley related to RD?
Can be the only reason for his constant support.

We will probably be offering him peanuts.
RD's wage offers are costing us everyone.

It’s amazing the hysteria caused by a random rumour This is from Brentford He is among a number of forwards Brentford have enquired about while seeking a replacement for Neal Maupay, who has joined Brighton in a £20m deal. The Bees want Basel’s Albian Ajeti but the Switzerland striker could be out of their reach. Taylor will be playing against Stoke on Saturday ... Of course he going to draw attention to himself he had a great season last year but he nearly 30 and still untried at championship level ...but every player has his price look at Hazard and Maguire if someone was to offer 8/10 mill we could not turn it down Rubbish. We need more players and the only rumours seem to be of good players leaving. Strikers are gold dust and Lyle will be probably be at his peak until he's 32 by the look of him. How can we replace him? Oh well, I hope RD enjoys losing 7 million a year back in League 1, no doubt without Lee at that stage.

We can’t stop rumours but he’s another one who needs to sign a new contract. I hope he does for our sake, he’s a great character and a player. The thing is J, Taylor has already openly criticised what has been going on at the club.
If he goes to Brentford he would be joining a club with ambition.

Sources reporting Brentford eyeing up a £3mil bid for the Charlton talisman. I for one really hope this doesn’t come off... What sources? A chum of mine has said that Cawley has been quoted that there is strength in contact between clubs over a deal.

Now being reported on Sky that Brentford are in talks, "sky sources" are not usually far off. They are when it comes from the mouth of White.

Brentford were a Div 3 club for what seemed forever. Now we're their feeder club. What should Lyle do? He's 29 and probably never had a big contract looking at the club's he has played for.

However, it's all okay is it for Duchatelet to sell all our assets?

It's the way that it is being done, which I hope you can agree with me on.

The valuation of the club must lessen to some degree, maybe the sale of the club can now be finalised, straw clutching i know, but you never know.

Alternative view - selling Djiksteel & Taylor this week covers his operating losses for the entire season. Even less pressure to sell now, it’s a free hit for him.

Who’s J? Let’s wait and see what happens yet. The only way to keep him would be to offer an acceptable contract. This is the problem when players get down to their final year.

I 100% agree with you. We need to up his contract and match Brentford. I don't blame Lyle and as for £ 3 million - what a joke. Everyone who buys our players is getting a great deal.

I was going to ignore you, but just let me know how saying that paying for your ST and not going doesn't affect RD, translates to I think it's OK for RD to sell all our assets? I will be genuinely upset if Taylor goes, but I'm not going to let it stop me supporting LB and the team he puts on the pitch. I think you just read what you want to, in that black and white mind of yours, rather than what's actually said.

Just for the record, Elf’s is probably the only poster on ITTV who has watched Charlton at all 92 league grounds. He has also been consistently anti Duchatelet from Day 1. Unlike... Disagree with him by all means, but don’t call him a WUM or question his Charlton credentials - unless yours are better.

If this happens, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it did, I imagine it’ll be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for a hell of a lot of people, myself included. I think you’d see thousands not turn up.

I think you’d see thousands not turn up. That’s been the overwhelming reaction on Charlton Twitter today as well. Fans are going to walk away in their droves if Taylor is sold. No amount of utter bollocks about “exciting loans” will cover it this time.

No amount of utter bollocks about “exciting loans” will cover it this time. I think he (Douche) would just about get away with selling another player before the deadline, but not Lyle. He's the talisman at the moment, not just for his efforts on the pitch, but for the work he does with the club, for the club, with the fans off the pitch as well. In many ways he's 'Mr. Charlton' at the moment and to lose him would be a step too far. I've not had the pleasure of meeting him, but he seems like one of the good guys, kind and sincere. I'd be absolutely gutted to lose him.

Can someone please just post for me all our players who have contracts ending this season? That way I can make a list of all the players in my head we are selling the next 48 hours.
