We can’t stop rumours but he’s another one who needs to sign a new contract. I hope he does for our sake, he’s a great character and a player.

Do you honestly believe you are alone...? Don’t ever remember saying I believe I was alone... ? Apols but the “I for one” comment inferred that others would wish him to leave , which I would of said impossible , however BB has just proved that some people are “fine” with it...!

My concern is that it’s Brentford. If it was a team up north then I wouldn’t be worried, but a big wage increase not far from home could tempt anyone.

I for one is just another way of saying ‘I’m going on record as saying’ - anyone who’s fine with losing Lyle knows nothing about football

My concern is that players want to leave our club to join clubs in the same division.
If a team like West Ham or LEicester want to sign our players it's obviously going to be tempting for any player to move to the Premier League, but Brentford are in the same league as ourselves with little chance really of promotion, although more chance of a safe mid-table finish (especially if we can't keep our squad). So it's hardly a career move for him.

Multiple reports that Brentford are poised to offer £3m for Lyle Taylor.
They know through experience with Konsa that we are a soft touch.

When Konsa left us for them they were a division higher than us.

Now being reported on Sky that Brentford are in talks, "sky sources" are not usually far off.

Can't wait for Bexley to explain why this is a good deal.

It really is a bit too much, when clubs in the same division as Charlton, are hovering around like flies, because they know they will get a bargain off Duchatelet.

Can't wait for Bexley to explain why this is a good deal. Should be a good one. Probably a repeat of the Dijksteel comments, "if the player wants to leave better to now before contract blah blah blah blah."

Great, bloody Brentford again !!!! Who would ever have thought this years ago, that Brentford would be a step up from Charlton.
They can buy him with the profit they made on Konsa
If Taylor goes now, there will be massive reactions. Where the f*ck is this going to all end.
The problem is, if he won’t sign his new contract..............

With £20m from Maupay in the bank, if Lyle is the main target a bit will absolutely be accepted. Given the wages that can also be freed up from the budget I think we have 80%+ chance of Lyle leaving, barring a small miracle. This season is now an utter write off should this happen.
The life of a Charlton fan truly is heartbreaking.

Christ on a bike, you couldn't make this stuff up. Given past performances, I imagine the club are happy to take a bit of a haircut in return for a 100% cash up front deal. One would also be inclined to think this will be another hole in the squad that Bowyer would be expected to fill in for free. So we may be on the point of bringing in a couple of loanees, but two established players move out for what for Charlton Athletic is basically a free transfer as RD is the sole beneficiary. "well he does pay the bills!!" If he'd sold up to one of the people offering to buy the club, he wouldn't have to!!!
As above, we can now look forweard to hearing from BB telling us this was a great deal for the club as ….something...something...new blood...etc

It’s just gone beyond a fucking piss take now.
If Taylor is sold to Brentford I think Bowyer will resign.
The Valley needs to be empty on Saturday, bar the wet blankets.

I am absolutely fuming about this. If Taylor leaves in this transfer window my season ticket is going back to Charlton and I will not be attending another game until the scum has gone.

It’s amazing the hysteria caused by a random rumour
This is from Brentford
He is among a number of forwards Brentford have enquired about while seeking a replacement for Neal Maupay, who has joined Brighton in a £20m deal.
The Bees want Basel’s Albian Ajeti but the Switzerland striker could be out of their reach.
Taylor will be playing against Stoke on Saturday ...
Of course he going to draw attention to himself he had a great season last year but he nearly 30 and still untried at championship level ...but every player has his price look at Hazard and Maguire if someone was to offer 8/10 mill we could not turn it down

Just want to be clear.

The comments you state as being from "Brentford" are the exact words from the Sky article you tool! Explain to me how you know he is playing against Stoke on Saturday? A physio therapist or a hotel employee? Or the voices in your head again?

Rich Cawley has also Tweeted that there is truth in it. Two years ago you posted that your niece in the Solicitor’s Office was handling the Aussie takeover. Time to pipe down.

They are not going to offer that, when 3 will do. Another player whose contract has been allowed to run down without an acceptable offer being tabled by us. When is enough enough Colin. We are being asset stripped and you support RD at every opportunity.
