I’m sure I say this every season but it’s obviously a massive summer for the club and one where they need to be ruthless and have a clear picture of who they want out as well as in. Some proper drips have pulled the shirt on in a last few season and the same mistakes can’t be made again. For me the following need shipping out: Maynard Brewer Lewis Ward Tennai Watson Michael Hector Terrell Thomas Terry Taylor Chuks Aneke And of course all the loans.

Chuks is another loser though ain’t he. All this cheat code cobblers does my head in. The geezer is a talented player but he’s no longer able to perform. I’m an engineer and if my hands didn’t work I ain’t an engineer anymore. It also seems to have an effect on the moral of the team every time he breaks down. I’d either pay him up or try and flog him.

I LOVED NJ's post match yesterday,he's like us(fans) and still thinking about dropped points from other games we should've killed off. His message was clear, and when he said pretty much he will be ruthless and shed those who can't take us forward I'm sure it was music to all our ears.

But all this depends on what system Jones is planning next season 352 is not his favoured style of play ?

Bad players are bad players Colin, formation is irrelevant. 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 won’t help Tennai Watson trap a football. It will determine what players stay and who we bring in .. if he plays 352 then we only need one centre back , full backs are good the main problem is mid 3 , Coventry at the base but we need 4 new mid who are attacking , creative and most important can score goals .. and we need another striker who can get 15 goals …

It's very obvious that we need to revamp the back line as we simply let in too many goals. For me the two most important positions where we need focus is keeper and centre half. Isted concedes too many soft goals and just isn't big enough or commanding enough. Lukas Jensen from Lincoln, at 6ft,6 would fit the bill nicely. As for centre half we need a no nonsense, strong player. Thomas and hector are too timid. Alex Mitchell, also currently at Lincoln (on loan from Millwall) is just the sort of defender we need.

I was being nosey on the wrexham forum earlier today come across this comment from Liverpool Red in the league one squad thread - Someone at the ground yesterday told me Alfie May is nailed on to sign this summer, the deal has already been agreed.
Please don’t shoot the messenger - I am just reporting what I was told!

Please don’t shoot the messenger - I am just reporting what I was told! When May arrived, a number of fans said WTF given we were set up to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 and May can't play as a lone striker. Therefore the first question for Jones and the football management to address is what approach are we taking to next season. If we are to revert to four at the back and a loan striker then is there merit in considering a silly money offer from Wrexham? Picks up coat 😀

If we did, it would be what we do with the money and how we replace him that would be the most important aspect. Players come, players go, its how we move on and move up that counts.

It’s all well and good people having a wish list of players that they want us to get rid but it is not as simple as that as those players still under contract may not want to go or if they do go we could end up paying a fair proportion of loan wages…..Fraser and Mcgrnadles are the prefect examples, neither I doubt will play for us again yet they may well be difficult to shift on perms…
I think NJ will let all out of contract players go and try and shift out either Isted or AMB to bring in a new number one……Saturday was yet another prime example of why we need a couple of new quality non nonsense centre backs to come in as NJ is just not the type to allow the bad defending to,continue next season
As a bare minimum I can see a new keeper, two new centre backs, 2-3 new midfielders and a new striker coming in in….I also think he will offer Wickham a one year deal if his medical people give NJ the green light on him,….
It’s going to be an interesting summer, that’s for sure……

May, Kanu, Chucks, Leaburn, Wickham
Surely this is not going to be our strikers for next season?
Top marksman 👍, still a bit raw, injury prone, injury prone and injury prone.
Rumours saying that May may leave. Can’t see that myself.
Kanu to go on loan to a league 2 club or promoted league 1 club.
Chucks still got another year on his contract
Leaburn under contract injury prone can he last a season?
Wickham would be a pain in the arse against middle and lower half teams. But once again injury prone.
Can the club afford the aforementioned plus two more strikers. Seven in total ?

It's a similar challenge across most areas of the squad: - how fast and how much will Academy players improve? - how many minutes might we expect from injury prone players? - what style of football is Jones aiming to play so what do we need? In goal the obvious answer is to let the fella go who is out of contract and replace with a quality keeper who is better than the others. Repeat for central defence and centre mid. We simply don't know how good and how fit our forwards will be but if we bring in new talent then perhaps Kanu goes out on loan? We'll know soon enough who out of the out of contract players will be made an offer. But the idea of binning off players under contract is for the birds! It's not what a professional club that wants to enhance its reputation does.

More players than you think will be leaving the club this summer. We will listen to offers for the majority of those still in contract.
Nathan wants a major overhaul and has a nice sum at his disposal to bring in who he wants.

Interesting Reams…….would imagine that list may well include the likes of Edun Tayo, Tennai Watson, Terry Taylor, Fraser, Mcgrandles and either or both keepers There are plenty of quality frees available in the summer, one I would love us to go for is Sorensen of Lincoln to compete with Ramsay down that right hand side

To be fair, when I've seen lists for other fans on the players which we SHOULD keep. It's not a long list. Mine is potentially longer than most: May Leaburn Coventry REG Gillesphey (Squad) Jones Small Ramsay
