I’m sure he wouldn’t of joined if certain spending levels weren’t achieved

Finally some good news! Even better that he is Manager rather than Head Coach. Hopefully this is the end of Andy Scott at our club. Please just keep us up this season NJ and then full steam ahead in the summer and beyond.

Fans need to get behind him big time, we are still not in a good place. If he gets the valley roar he will feel at home immediately.

All we need to bring in is a Head Scout and a negotiator for transfers after tin tackingMr Scott. I still like the concept of a DofF but now fully comprehend that the position has to be filled by someone with an eye to a player which clearly hasn’t been the case with the current incumbent.

He just needs to organise us, get tempo in to our play and install belief.. if he can do these things, it’ll improve quickly..

Well I didn't see that coming 🤣.
He's probably got the hardest job any new Charlton manager has had in many a long year. Goodness knows I like everyone else wants the club to prosper, being amongst the weeds of League 1 hurts.
He's taken on a huge challenge and deserves to be backed accordingly.

After watching woeful attackers over the previous weeks and months I have to say that our tier 3 survival may well be in the hands of Mr Sicknote himself … please step up Mr Aneke!
I can’t believe that I wrote that but Ladappo looks like a pub player and never looks like coming close to a goal.

I honestly believe we'll stay up now and spend heavily over the summer. seeing a lot about Scott being gone you heard anything ? Jones has admitted himself that he’s got a temper, and has been a volatile personality in the past. Having appointed him, it’s imperative the investors now give him the space to mould & shape the squad as he sees fit. It’s clear from Charlton social media over the past 24 hours that the fanbase is done with Andy Scott, so if there is a future power struggle Jones v Scott, there is no question on who’s side the fans will be on . I can only repeat that CAFC having a Technical Director at this point is vainglorious bollocks.

Ladapo was almost universally panned for his performance yesterday. Everyone could see his clumsy touches and that he was blowing out of his arse (like you, chasing the truth). Nice WUM’ing though.

Nathan is pretty loyal to those who have worked with him before. He wants people around him that he trusts. I think Paul Hart and Alan Sheehan will be a given. Not sure about Chris Cohen though as he has only recently gone to Lincoln as assistant manager. I'm sure if push came to shove though we'll pay the compo they want to release him. Happy for Curtis. He's a good guy and youw ant people with his experience, honesty and know how around the building. That little lot will ensure we have the best managerial set up in the division. All we need now is a team to match. All this can be achieved if we get rid of the person who has been making sure that hasn't happened for the last six months. Worth remembering too that Jones was a right-back, as was Curtis Fleming, Sheehan a verygood Left-back and Hart a tough old shool CB. If that doesn't improve the way we defend, nothing will. EDIT - Just seen the Fleming news has come from BB. Now I'm not so sure he will stay.

He couldn’t trap the ball or shield it from a marker …. he’s all over the place and only looks slightly improved when he stands close to Fiorini who won’t be fit and ready for action until January 2025!!

I just hope he starts by stopping our defenders from trying to play out from the back as if they are elite players. Yesterday we gave away another goal because of this stupidity.

What game was you watching? This isn't the right thread for it but while others were clamouring for Ladapo I was on my own questioning the logic. He wasn't match fit and I expect that's why he passed his medical as there hadn't been aches or pains for three months as he'd hardly played. Ikpeazu who failed his played for Port Vale two days earlier - we chose the wrong one of the two it's as simple as that. What partnership with May are you referring too? He has scored one goal in nine games, Ladapo zilch all season. Alfie can only play a certain way and has said so. Running onto balls inside the box eyeball to eyeball with the keeper. Outside of the box and having to try and outpace or take on defenders he is a very basic footballer. I agree with you though about Ladapo not being where we need him to be which is preferably back at Ipswich. Shocking signing. Hopefully that's the end of signing players because of what they did a few years ago. We may aswell have signed Geoff Hurst on that basis! Probably fitter than Ladapo!
