A manager should be picking the players he wants. End of for me. I get the whole modern day way of doing things. Just don’t personally agree with it Appleton supplied Scott with the players and positions he wanted that was said a few times leading up to the window. .. You couldn’t make it up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Although ….

Different twitter poster, but also been right about a number of other Cafc related transfers has said that Nathan will be requesting a couple of his own transfers for this window. Be interesting to see if that’s the case.

Nathan Jones would be an excellent appointment.
If Scott is the sticking point for him , please get rid of Scott.

Ah I see, drag it out beyond the closure of the transfer window! Don't see the point of that given he's already got the job 😆 Just announce it fellas! Couple of loan players he wants have already been put forward! I assume the emoji is that it’s not a done deal?

An announcement today would be great (good way to start the week) then hopefully a couple of incomings (and outgoings) over the next couple of days. Thrash derby at the weekend (ok scrape a win) - now that would lift the spirits!!!

We did have a Danish owner recently. That didn't turn out too well but at least he didn't take us into League Two

Darren Moore sacked by Huddersfield.
I wonder if that will throw a cat amongst the pigeons if they start pursuing similar targets to us?

Wasn’t wilder about to sign for us then Sheffield came in just before he picked up the pen! No doubt that will happen again to us over the next 24/48hours. Fingers crossed we have already got our man tied up

Kirk released (must be still paying his wages). Notice he hasn't got a club yet. Aneke on some ridiculous salary... That's a lot of a top 6 budget on those two alone. Fraser also on a sizeable salary. This wasn't an overnight issue.

It time this was sorted before we loose who's available somewhere else and I can't see us getting any decent signings in last few days of the window while we are still in limbo.

Without in depth conversations with the Sandgaards, Gallen and Garner it's impossible to know who pushed for which players, nor who was rejected and why. We get to see the outcome on the pitch, in the stats and in the League table. But even then there are a variety of opinions. The same obviously goes for the SE7 Partners SMT, Scott and whoever they appoint. As stated previously, let's see how we actually play in February and where our next win is coming from. Obviously some fans will continue to play their own version of Kill Bill with long lists of people to eject from our club. But what's noticeable is that along with their certainty, there's a complete lack of analysis of what's going wrong / how to fix it. Except to harm back to the certainty of a promotion season! What we can observe is that the longer this goes on, the more it will cost to fix. Despite SCMP limits, there's no restriction upon the owners tipping in cash as a gift or equity. Whether they wish to keep doing that without adjusting the make up of the SMT is another question. One wonders what they make of things and whether they might insist upon changes in the summer. For this reason we might expect a sense of urgency from Scott et al to get things pointing in the right direction.

bexleyboyHow difficult is it to understand that Andy Scott controls all player incomings & outgoings ? The diff nowadays make it simple for you .. a manager still tells the recruitment team what players or positions he wants like Appleton told Scott .. in an interview Scott said “ we will try and get the players the managers wants “ only diff nowadays that’s where it ends for a manager the recruitment team Scout the players , talk to agents , clubs and players , sort out fee , contracts etc etc then its down to the money men to sign it off .. next thing the player appears at the training ground ready to train .. if a manger not involved why did Appleton go to Conor Coventry boys then ?? Could have stayed at home watched eastenders ?

Although I don't think appointing a manager that has just been sacked fater 4 months with a 13%~ win rate is a great move. His overall career record is pretty good, with experience in the Championship and Premiership. Discounting his last 4 months his win ratio is just below 50%.

But let's imagine he comes in and does poorly. The fan backlash would be ridiculous due to his recent sacking / form. "Sacking a manager within 6 months again. Look at his record at Huddersfield. It was never going to work!" etc.

I think the problem is Huddersfield their management turnover is worst than ours. Huddersfield have had 30 managerial changes since 2000.
