Totally baffled. I have asked if SE7 'bottled it?' I added 'Have the Americans said if we have to pay yet more compo certain heads will have to roll too?' Like me, there are other people out there right now who are totally gobsmacked. The official confirmation was going to happen today. It’s one almighty screw up inside the club. All the right people were saying from Saturday night onwards that he had been told it was over. The only thing I can think of is that the investors are baulking at another pay off. problem is if he stays relegation is a real possibility and would cost more than paying him off. It is possible that like many of us the investors see the root of the problem higher than the manager eg who made the appointment and who appointed the person who decided Appleton could do the job. It may cost them a lot more to get rid of all the jolly boys taking a decent salary whilst the club sinks further down the pan. |

That interview doesn't sound like a chap that knows he's been sacked and is just waiting for the paperwork to be sorted.
Clearly he acknowledges that if things don't turn around he will be out of a job but it sounds like he still has some fight in him.

I don't like the guy and didn't want him to be manager, but i am not one of these people who hopes for failure to get rid of a manager. I hope he does turn it around and start winning games, the fact i don't believe he can is the main factor for me.

I'm glad he addressed the "passion on the touchline". I think he's a poor tactician and a poor selector of teams and probably a poor motivator and I would like to see him gone, but I think wanting to see him jumping around and gesticulating and screaming at the players is an irrelevancy and mere playing to the gallery.

I apologise for getting everyone's hopes up but I stand by my sources, they don't feed me rubbish, if I thought they did, I wouldn't share it. Some people will revel in this including the handful of gobshites on another forum but he who lqaughs last, laughs loudest.
People can take this or leave it but I honestly believe there is something in the legals that he is clinging onto, like that last piece of turd that just won't let go of the bum hair until that final push releases it!
