Whatever the club do will be risky. They will say they are putting their hand in the pocket and making some signings, which they seem to be, although we don't know the cost of the players we have brought in (I don't mean financially, I mean who is leaving as a result of them coming in). But, Appleton has been struggling for some time and if they don't have the confidence that he can work with the new players and improve our league position they have two choices, wait and hope he turns things around or fire him and bring in someone else that they feel might do a better job. Both options have their own pitfalls, but I'm firmly in the camp that doing something is often better than doing nothing, so I think parting ways is the right choice providing they do have a plan in regards to new a new head coach.

They aren’t going to confirm it to anyone that randomly asks before an official announcement and severance package agreed. That's about it. Last I heard were the legals were being drawn up and while that's the case I don't think the club are going to officially announce it. |

Errrmmmmm what? 200% to club denying. What’s happened here I'm standing by what's already been said. Club will want to announce it on their own terms and with an official statement. With all due respect nothing is going to get said and done via Louis Mendez just like nothing's going to be divilged officially to myself. I said from the first post on the matter that this info has not come from the club itself, but it did carry enough weight for me to take out of the conversation that MA is going if he hadn't gone already. I still don't get that unless anything comes from Mendez or Cawley then it's not to be believed. |

I'll be there Tuesday night. If he's there and we're losing, we'll be singing "sacked in the morning". But I hope that isn't the case.
This club needs taking forward and he clearly isn't the one who is going to do it.

The sad thing about this is it must be costing the investors a fortune in redundancy payments money that could be much better spent, hopefully they can make a better decision this time around. I think the majority of people on this forum said that Appleton was an awful candidate before he was employed, I was one of them.
