John Terry not had a manager role yet but been assistant at Villa and Leicester.. Bet he could teach our defence a thing or two ”How to get into your teammates wife’s knickers” would be the first lesson ! Assistant Alan Pardew..

Nobody lined up for the job then, what a surprise. It’s not, really, a surprise as they as good as said as much yesterday.

Got to admire our owners attempt to try and coax Ferguson. Like him or not he has had a reasonable record for getting promotion. Really not surprised he said "no you're alright thanks" though. Shows intent on their part but surely one they knew would fail.
For me, with more realistic and available target's I'd rather go for Darren Moore. I'd love Wilder but can't see it happening.

Nobody lined up for the job then, what a surprise. Why is that an issue? It could change in a matter of a couple of days. Never known a more impatient fanbase than ours, they want players now, they want a new manager now. Everything has to be now with no thought process put into it.

Never known a more impatient fanbase than ours, they want players now, they want a new manager now. Everything has to be now with no thought process put into it. To be honest I think the sacking wasn’t planned, but it was, probably, necessary. I don’t think anyone expected us to lose four games out of five at the start of the season, even with the unbalanced squad that we have. It was clear that Holden was struggling before this weekend but after the lineup and the changes on Saturday he, kinda, had to go. It was desperation and the season can still go in different directions but we need a few wins quickly or it is going to be a relegation battle for, at least, half the season. Pearce should be able to get the side more organised and disciplined and pick up a few points and then the club can decide if we give him a longer stint or we get a completely new chap in. What ever we do it is likely that this season is going to be a bit of a struggle to make the top six so we can start to plan for next season. It will have an impact on attendances but if we play decent football and win a few games some fans will keep going. Many will be reluctant to shell out for tickets once we look certain for mid-table obscurity but that is where we are.

Either sack him at takeover or give him a window to make a team, and half a season to use it. Mistakes being made already!

I see that the u21’s are getting wacked 4-1 against Coventry after 30mins. Put money on another last 10 mins goal going in against us. Seems to be strangely happening a lot across all of our teams 🤷🤔

Even Charlton legend Chris Powell (not that I would have him) has turned us down.
I wonder why…

Holden amassed a win percentage of 37% .. shocking! I think it was definitely the right decision but a big call has to come next! On reflection, Saturday's team selection and the result may well have done us a favour! For sure we have a couple of weeks of apparent chaos where a number of fans lose their shit. But Scott now has the chance to bring in a new manager, coaching team and the performance director. Many will always look at the League Table but parhaps the clock starts next Saturday. That Sandgaard delayed the takeover last February cannot be changed. Just means less time to prepare for this season but hopefully a sense of urgency to get things right for 2024?

Powell links to ESI? What links were they? I'd like to know as well. When Powell was at Southend, didn't Southall try to get involved in some sort of takeover. I'm probably wrong but it rings a bell. But no Powell involvement.

If I recall correctly zenga asserted that Powell and another Charlton connection had advisory roles in a Dutch or Belgian club who were part of a network. Perhaps Zenga can confirm or somebody trawl his posting history.

Posted this 3 years ago btw. Part 1: - In 2002 John van Zweden (Dutch, a convicted ADO The Hague hooligan) buys Swansea shares and saves together with others Swansea. Until today John van Zweden plays an important role behind the scenes at ADO The Hague. Remember him 'taunting' Charlton fans on Twitter?
- In 2016 John van Zweden sells his Swansea shares and becomes a millionaire, a deal facilitated by Huw Jenkins (who in the spring of 2020 launched a 1m Charlton bid).
- In december 2019 Tahnoon Nimer buys Charlton Athletic, representing the Private Office of one of the Al Nahyan sheiks.
- Tahnoon Nimer makes an IG post with the location tag being The Hague (Spoorwijk). That screenshot was shared on this forum and should still be here somewhere.
- The next morning ADO The Hague announces the appointment of 2 ex-Charlton Managers (Alan Pardew & Chris Powell). A deal made possible by John van Zweden (this topic was extensively discussed in the Dutch media, e.g. TV Show "Voetbal Inside") and Collins John, ex PL striker from 2004-2009 and the manager of Pardew and the brother of Ola John who was on the verge of signing for Swansea, again facilitated by Van Zweden. Van Zweden and the John brothers remained close.
- Mohammed Hamdi was appointed as the ADO The Hague CEO in the summer of 2019; Mohammed Hamdi was before he joined ADO a Director at Al Jazira in Abu Dhabi.
- Al Jazira is a club controlled by the Al Nahyan family where Tahnoon Nimmer his boss was listed on the board of directors, so is Sheikh Mansour (Man City owner). Nimmer had an unofficial role at Al Jazira.
- There was a picture taken with Nimer & Hamdi and the ex-Charlton managers in The Hague (from the day before the announcement of their appointments). A source puts John van Zweden at that meeting.
So long story short: Nimmer knew Mohammed Hamdi from Al Jazira. Hamdi becomes CEO of ADO The Hague. Nimmer posts on his Instagram that he is in The Hague, the next morning ADO The Hague announces Alan Pardew & Chris Powell. A picture exists (I've seen it) of Pardew, Powell, Hamdi & Nimmer from the night before. A meeting John Van Zweden - who is good mates with John, Pardews manager - attended as well (confirmed to me back then by the same journalist who showed me the picture). Part 2: - Before becoming a videographer and whatnot, Southall worked for Kia Joorabchian, someone with quite the reputation and famous for his 'Third-party ownership' constructions in English football. It's well documented online that Southall tried several times his 'third-party ownership' that didn't violate the rules (according to himself).
- Kia Joorabchian tried to sign Kaka for Man City back in 2008, didn't work. Ultimately he helped move Robinho to City. At the very least it's documented that Kia Joorabchian had a good relationship with City (going back to the previous regime) and Mansour.
- In the same month that ESI acquires Charlton, Kia Joorabchian who had been largely inactive for the previous five years, started two new companies in London: Sports Invest Consult Ltd & SPI Consult Ltd (renamed since). Both were incorporated on 19/12/19. Total coincidence of course.
- Carlos Tevez was friends with both Joorabchian, Collins John and Southall, and Chris Powell got to know Southall (can't divulge my source, but not too difficult connecting the dots).
- Southall had a few failed attempts at starting a Social Media business in Abu Dhabi in the years leading up to ESI.
Seriouslyred and Mundell, and later Reams - should be able to confirm if they go through their DM's from late 2019 / early january 2020 that I shared a lot of the info of what later became public knowledge when shit hit the fan with ESI and Charlton.
The best part? Pardew and Powell their contract at ADO The Hague had a clause where they would get a % on the players they brought to ADO. I'm not shitting you.
So yeah, was Powell an ESI puppet? Most likely not. Did he know more and did he engage in shady things? Two Dutch journalists were convinced back in 2020. And I assume you can guess my opinion.

Dean Holden has tonight been appointed as Steven Gerard’s assistant at Al-Ettifaq in Saudi.
Well done Dean 👏 - financially I’d imagine that’s a move that will set him up for life.
