Yes unless we get a silly offer come in. He is 100% in the plans of Dean and SE7 though. Thank God! Out of interest, what would you think would constitute silly money...looking at the likes of Twine as we were earlier on this thread, surely it would have to be more than that deal? Keep seeing rumour Villa are keen amongst others in the prem....Sincerely hope we can hold onto him and build around him....but would hope any deal, whenever it may happen is laden with add ons and friendly terms on loans! I think the Scott Twine money would be considered 'silly money' personally.

If we were promoted and Leaburn scored, say, fifteen goals in the Championship then I would suggest that a transfer fee could be £10m plus. If he's only played in League One then I wold imagine that £5m would be a massive fee for him. So, if we are offered anywhere near £5m this summer it would make sense to sell him. I would imagine that we'd be lucky to get more than half that, in guaranteed payments, and add-ons are very speculative.

Reams do u know of any signings that are close apart from Alfie May ? Not sure Alfie May is close to be honest with you but I know we are waiting for Palace to decide what they do with Scott Banks because his contract expires in the next week or two. If it's renewed we may look at a loan but if he becomes a free agent then we have to be snapping up players of his ilk. He may stay at Palace and he joins us on a similar arrangement to what brought Williams and Innis to Charlton. Sam Noumbe and Ethan Bristow might be dark horses a bit later into the window.

Not Palace's decision really as Banks might have deliberately run down his contract. That's what he did at Dundee United before joining Palace on a free in the first place. If that's the case I suspect he will be looking for higher than L1 level, but I guess it also depends on what we can offer.

Reams do you know if we will sign anyone this week? I think we'll see two windows within a window and are quite possibly under starters orders for the first of those which will be the race for out of contract players like Scott Banks. I think if anything happens this week it will be in that market but Im not suggesting it will. The incoming players that we are looking to part with cash for, won't happen for a couple of weeks I don't think but something will happen before Spain that's for sure.

Do you think we will get Alfie May over the line? I really don't know mate. He's not for me either way, at least not in a three pronged attack..

May is having a medical this week according to a poster on CL. Not sure how true that is but positive if true.

The lad Bristow, LB at Tranmere is very highly rated. When you think about it we need to replace Sessegnon, Inniss, Clare, Morgan and Rak-Sakyi who all played quite a bit last season and have all left. That's five players. Reckon we might sign ten in total including loans as well as new arrivals from the Academy. That's a lot of potential to step up from mid-table these last couple of years. Feel we're actually in a good place having had a clear out and ideally just a few weeks from announcing SE7 takeover as complete. In short, three decent permanent signings and three decent loans from London EPL clubs could well push us into the top six with the bookies - currently seventh.

I suppose if the takeover does go on little longer then expected (EFL will drag it out on purpose ) The target will be this window to build a squad that gets us in a position come January to invest again for the final push that’s when the new owners will come into their own

Let's just see how it plays out.

The permanent signings are, likely, to be time sensitive. However, the Premier League loan players won’t be. Most of the Premier League clubs won’t release players until towards the end of the window, so we should still get decent players. It just puts more pressure on the first 10 games of the season.

What is there to gain from that? I don't believe in all this getting the job part done until the start of the new year and then reinforce halfway through the season. Bring your players in and get them integrated now. If we need a few more bodies come January fine but start as you mean to go on.

Agree with this mate but I think we will be in a so much better position this season in getting top quality loans as we have more financial clout and importantly the way loans like Rak Saki have gone…. which will encourage PL teams to send their best kids to us….hopefully 🤞

In our sensational 101 season we brought in a majority of our acquisitions early with the notable exception of a certain Breton gentlehomme who we picked up after the season had started!

Ruben Rodrigues has said he’s definitely leaving Notts County this summer. Would live us to sign him. Langstaff is their top scorer but Rodrigues is their best alround player.
