Make or break summer for the club this.
What we do know so far is there will be promises to improve the squad followed soon after by a season ticket sale.
Once fans have parted with their money we'll the start to see the waifs & strays and members of the annual crock society start to arrive!

Yet we still have losses of £6m or more a season with poor signings .

In my opinion the only players worth keeping:
AMB (backup), Clare, Hector, Elerewe, Ness, Thomas(LB only sub), Dobson, Fraser, Henry, CBT(sub as crock), Leaburn.
That leaves us with needing to sign about 16 players. Know they won't all be fantastic but ultimately decides on where the ownership lies. We are not an attractive club to join at the moment. Think we should absolutely be in for Cole Stockton if he's available and know that Holden is a long term admirer of Gwion Edwards.

Rumours of potential summer targets have already emerged ahead of the window, one of which is Scott Banks.
Scottish starlet Banks is on loan with Bradford City from Crystal Palace and amid uncertainty surrounding his future at Selhurst Park, the Addicks are among those to have been linked. The promising winger has fared well in League Two this season but could be on the move ahead of next season.
Another player to have been linked with a move to The Valley is someone fans should be somewhat familiar with: Josh Umerah. The striker came through Charlton’s youth academy and has worked his way back up the football ladder and into League Two after being let go by the Addicks.
He’s impressed in the fourth-tier with strugglers Hartlepool United, scoring 15 goals in 45 games. You would fancy the 26-year-old to get a shot elsewhere in the EFL if the Pools succumb to the drop as expected.

Okay here is my list of players and what I would like to see happen.
Goalkeeper, I think we are good with who we have.
Wollacott Keep Mayward-Brewer Keep Harness Keep, sending out on load.
Defenders I would really like a whole new back 4.
Sessegnon is on load and happy for him to go back. Thomas keep as a backup. Hector Keep Egbo Keep has a backup. Innis Need to go way too much of a liability. Clare Keep as a Backup. Lavella go. Penney go. Elerewe go. Kane? Not sure how they did out on load this season. Chin? Not sure how they did out on load this season.
Midfielders Dobson Must keep Morgon Go he is just not up for League 1 Payne Keep, sub, or as a number 10 Fraser Keep Blackett Taylor Keep as a sub. Henry Keep, send out on load. Campell keep, send out on load. Jaiyesimi go. Gilbey go McGrandies go Kirk go Kilkenny Not sure how they did out on load this season. Rak-Sakyi love to keep him but, that won't happen.
Forwards Bonne Can go do one, Never want to see him in a Charlton shirt again. Aneke We stuck with him but who knows we may get another 15 minutes out of him next season. Leaburn we need to keep him.
I have probably missed a few. But I am of the view that we need the following players for next year.
Defenders 4 we need a whole new back 4. Midfielders we need players for RW and LW also a playmaker Forwards 2 The fact is all we have is Leaburn and 15min Chuck. (I truly do feel sorry for the guy. Body of a god but made of glass.)

Won't get into names right now but I believe that we have around 11 of a set of 16 players who should feature most AND be able to deliver a top six finish. Needless to say that the "missing" five need to be of high calibre.
They might consist EPL loans, academy graduates or perm signings, but please no more League Two hopefuls!
At the same time we need to improve all aspects of sports science - too many injuries lasting too long, and the analytics can't be more than basic... as a club we must add value to existing players, not just hope from one window to the next.

I’m going to be brutal these are the only ones I would keep…
Maynard-brewer Waldercott
Hector- just Ness Mitchell loan
Dobson squad Frazer squad Payne squad Campbell loan
Leaburn. Sell if a massive offer comes in to fund the rebuild as skint Saangarrd will still be owner.
Kanu squad
Rak-saki - if a billionaire takes over and asks Palace to name their price (not going to happen)
Big job over to you Martin !
Oh and Stockton coming in is as easy cheap win.

Please no Stockton! I know he scores a few screamers but he’s so immobile! You know if he signs for us he’ll just be immobile and minus any screamers. I’d stick Mitchell, Elerewe, Kanu and Campbell in! What’s the point in lower league loans for our players now days? It don’t get much worse than league one!

My team for next season would include: Leaburn, Ness, Dobson, Wollacott, Maynard-Brewer, Egbo, Gilbey. The rest I don't care about. Too many inconsistent performers and no passion.
Campbell, Kanu, Henry, Elerewe and Mitchell still need loan experience.
So excluding those on loan from other clubs, that's a goodbye to Bonne, Morgan, Payne, Fraser, Clare, Inniss, Thomas, Hector (doubt he'd stay), Blackett-Taylor, Kirk, Aneke, Jaiyesimi, McGrandles and Lavelle.

Good luck in offloading Aneke. Plus Kirk on a big salary and probably couple of years on contract. Fraser I think still in contract and large salary... McGrandles probably the same, and Cambridge can't afford him, so they say...

Gilbey is out of contract and has bad-mouthed us playing in a lower division. We won't keep both No 1s. Campbell and Mitchell have proved their worth and will get better with games. Elewere plays upfront for Bromley and is probably behind O'Connor and Bakrin. DJ and CBT seem decent at this level, as do Hector and Thomas. I'd like to see Zac Williams, Maghoma, Tshimanga and John-Jules on loan or buy.

I see Sarmiento doesn't get on Brighton bench and they are buying a forward from Watford. I wonder if they'd let him go on loan to L1?

I have to confess I have been very underwhelmed by the signings we made in January. I know it’s not easy to do business in January, and there was a lot of uncertainty at the club, but this summer’s signings need to be a lot better. If we’d given Bonne, Penny and Kilkenny long term contracts we would be as stuck with them, now, as we are with Kirk, Lavelle and Jaysemi!

It's going to get a little bit awkward, an elephant in the room if you like because Storrie told us 48 hours ago that he, Dean and Gallen have pin-pointed players and today I have learned that so have the JF consortium so that they can act immediately if their takeover is successful.

Again,it's disheartning not to have one "clear" plan to act off....wasting time AGAIN will cost us. IF TS still in charge we've got absolutely no chance of bridging the gap to the top 6.I don't expect JF to come in and to quote Danish Brent "blow this league out of the water" but sensible actual attempted squad building would be a huge upgrade IMHO.

Sorry guys but Alfie May is coming here to Wrexham. Been a target for a while. We can't compete with wages. Reams appreciate May will have been linked to Wrexham and agree with your statement if we still have TS bankrolling the summer budget…… but the unknown quantity here is how much the potential new owners are going to throw at financing the squad for next year… at this stage how do you know that we cannot compete wages wise?

To be fair I don't think many clubs in L1 can pay some of their players what Wrexham are. I've been told off a few times for mentioning them on here but on this occasion I'm only doing so because its' Alfie May related. I think Holden will be given a decent budget but the potential problem we have is, if TS does not do the decent thing, and soon, we'll be looking at the left overs again. I totally agree with your views if TS stays in charge…. Gallen and co will bring in the usual type of recruits either injury prone, players that can’t get a game with their host club and also overpay for players not good enough But… I can’t see the potential new owners pissing about Replicating this same strategy I would imagine they will want to try and move the club up through the leagues… and this will require serious funding …. Hence my question how do we know at this stage if we can or cannot compete with the likes of Wrexham, Sheff Wednesday or Derby Time will tell I supposr
