Luther James-Wildin, done deal. Could we get Wildin,Lawrence Vigouroux and Dack for free? Then only pay a fee for May.

Dack is one of those that will be a crock for his whole contract or he’ll be the best player in the division . Personally would spend the money on a younger more energetic midfielder. I agree. He's a good player, but we need to stop getting players with poor injury history. We need players for a whole season not 10 games. If he does come to us I will see it as a good signing, but I'm wary of how many games he'd play.

What an utter pile of tosh. Benn reading this fellas posts this morning and all he has done is read what's been said elsewhere over the past two weeks and spat it back out in his own words with a bit of fantasy thrown in. Every word he writes is rubbish.

I like the look of May. Can score with both feet as well, which is nice. Looks like he could cause defences a lot of problems and work well with Leaburn. Possibly even Aneke, if he stays and is fit.
He is 30 next month, so I assume the fee wouldn’t be huge. Conflicting info about a fee being agreed.

And that is exactly the arrangement that is in place, or fairly close to it anyway. Remember the add-on's I told you about. Maybe something is in place where he will receive a percentage of any profit we make on a player we sell at a later date, that he bought prior to the takeover being given the green light by the EFL.

I can only see Dack coming in if we decide to sell Fraser which will be a really poor move in my opinion.
Fraser is the better play and scores goals. Dack is just another Forster-Caskey, injury prone. three games in, five games out just like Aneke.
I want to see players coming in that are going to tempt me back and he certainly isn't one of them.
As for Alfie May, yes he scores goals but give me Aaron Collins over him any day of the week. Involved in 27 goals last season! 16 scored, 11 created.

I really hope that's not the case.We need to build on the quality we have.Dack is interesting though IF he's hungry then he would be an asset, but for me not at the potential expense of Fraser. Like the look of May,bit concerned that Derby have let McGoldrick go to Notts County, looks as if they are making room for someone....Stockton possibly? Hopefully DH's sales pitch and our change in direction can convince May.

If we are going to take a leaf out of Brighton/Brentford/Peterborough playbook we will definitely NOT sign an injury prone 30 year old. We need to bring in players who are under 25 who would have an increased sell on value. There is room for the odd experienced recruit but would prefer a loanee where sell on isn’t an issue.

The thing is with Alfie May is Cheltenham want 300k for him. He's 29 and will want a three year contract worth up to 1m so effectively we are paying 1.3m for a 29 year old striker who will have no sell on value. Compare that to signing Aaron Collins for example. Maybe we are looking at 600k there on the same wages but we can claw all of that back if we sell him which will be possible because he is three years younger than May. Where is the better business?
What we need to happen is for TS to go ahead and buy him which he could. Don't ask me why it's complicated but if Sandgaard signs May it doesn't affect SE7's budget, it remains exactly the same.
Collins is a must for me and he's top of my list which I am forever updating:
Aaron Collins - Bristol Rovers Scott Banks - Free Owen Moxon - Carlisle Sam Noumbe - Exeter Ethan Bristow - Tranmere Finn Azaz - Aston Villa Sam Hoskins - Northampton

Paul, he (May) will be 30 before season starts and only really performed over last 2 seasons for current club. Agree we need better.

I would be happy for anyone who is an improvement over the crap we have had to deal with over the last 4 years where 1 in 4 is worth wearing the shirt. It's nice to look forward to the transfer window with a bit of hope. But we all need to remember Rome was not built in a day. I would like it to take us a season but will be happy with us pushing for the playoffs. But be in the top 2 in the 2024-2025 season.

I actually think May would be a terrific signing. Hitting 20 goals in back to back league seasons is no easy feat in a poor team. I’m not sure he even takes the penalties so it’s even more impressive.

Not sure if Thomas would spend £600k on Collins.

Every word he writes is rubbish. Just want to come on here and say I know my stuff. I get told most of the stuff I say by a very reliable source within the club. If it doesn’t match up to what you heard I apologise as I go off from what I’ve heard. As for my sources I’d happily talk privately about it all but can’t on a public platform due to protecting people’s privacy

For May to repeat that with us we are going to have to change the way we play and build a more creative mifield with a goalscorer or two among who we bring in. May's goals (if he signs) will only replace what Rak-Sakyi scored last season so we need a few others to chip im. You need three players to get into double figures to be a promotion winning side.
This is going to go two ways. We are going to either lose Fraser (Scottish club interest) and replace him with a like for like player who scores more goals, or keep him and bring in two players either side of him who score more than what Dobson and co. did last season.
I don't want Dack anywhere near the club. It will be like having amother JFC.

Where has the £300k number come from? Seems quite a lot for a 30 YO at this level. Agree that we need more goals than what May could/would bring.
Whilst I think Fraser has ability, I wouldn’t be against him going if we brought other better players in. He can go missing quite often.

Like I said add 5k-7k a week on top of that and the total layout is around 1.3m for a 30 year old that has no sell on value. Besides there is no guarantee he'll repeat what he's done these last two seasons. I prefer us to look elsewhere.
