Matt Lund is leaving Rochdale once his contract expires .. this bloke a “must” signing , very good player and always stood out when we played them He's 30 and just had a good season but before that he has struggled with consistency in his career. Besides he is 31 this year and just not what we need.

I have a feeling we have two summer transfer target lists. One in Lidl’s, one in Waitrose. The second one depends on whether Burnley sell Nick Pope. We could do a lot with an £8m windfall. I'm genuinely surprised ESI didn't sell the clause, do we definitely still have it? I don’t think ESI were here for long enough, although they asset stripped most other things. I read last week that Pope has informed Burnley that he definitely wants to move on this summer to further his career. Burnley have lined up the Sheff Utd keeper Ramsdale as his replacement. The fee mentioned was £40m....which potentially could net us £8m. When you think that Powell built a very good league 1 side with the £1m we got for Carl Jenkinson, it shows that it is doable.

Unless we have already sold the sell on fee back to Burnley which I wouldn't put past ESI.

Not sure why Aneke has posted a picture of an egg timer on his social media. Unless he’s counting down to his next fitness check.
I think his agent is deluding himself if he thinks a Championship club is going to pay Chuks 20 grand a week to sit in the treatment room all season.
A one year deal from us could be the best offer he’s going to get this summer.
If Adkins does want to keep him, any contract should be based on appearances IMO.

Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has admitted clubs tried to buy Mo Eisa in January, as per a report by the Peterborough United.
He has said that Charlton Athletic, MK Dons and Huddersfield Town have all been interested in the striker.

What an amazing 3 years I’ve had at this great football club.A big thank you to Lee Bowyer for giving me the opportunity, I have loved every minute of it and proud to have worn the shirt over 100 times.Thank you to everyone at the club who have made me feel so welcome, it really is a family club and those people behind the scenes are the heartbeat. All my teammates over the last 3 years, It’s been a pleasure sharing the changing room with you and I now class you as friends.Lastly a big thank you to all the fans for cheering us on through the highs and lows, if ever there was evidence to show how important you all are for the team it’s been this season not having you there pushing us on!Prats www.linkedin.com/posts/darren-pratley-615229181_my-time-at-charlton-athletic-football-club-activity-6798545372076765184-US_T

I always enjoyed seeing him play, not saying he has been a great player, but in my view a great character. Best wishes for whatever the future brings Darren.

A good player, hard working and represented everything this club is about, in my opinion. Helped us massively in our 2019 promotion season and was always committed to the club, But I think his age has played a huge part in his release, plus he's not championship quality. Wish him all the best in the future

Funny how quick people are in giving verbals but not that quick in admitting they were wrong ........ Expected , not has ! Article is 6 mths old ! Dont know what the legal bills are; haven't estimated the substitution of streaming revenue of £40k per game in for ticket revenue; expect the wage bill below £6M due to the salary cap. The actual accounts will be worked out in July but won't hit the public domain until December at the earliest, unless Sandgaard wishes to make a statement earlier. What really matters now is the transfer kitty, wage budget for next season and ability to cut some deals ASAP. As for eight years to achieve European qualification? Think it's more reasonable to estimate how long until we might become a top half Championship club, and how we might do that. Plus the associated cost. Remember that we haven't been truly competitive at that level for over a decade.

Think it's more reasonable to estimate how long until we might become a top half Championship club, and how we might do that. Plus the associated cost. Remember that we haven't been truly competitive at that level for over a decade. The reality is that there is no break even point in the Championship. Either we try to 'get by' with an underfunded squad (and risk relegation) or we rack up losses in the hope of promotion to the Premier League. There is little point trying to budget for anything else as it will end up with increasing losses year on year. This is true of most clubs in the Championship which is why real reform is needed. Clearly the right set of circumstances can enable a club to out perform their budget, in the short term, and/or get lucky to get into the Premier League. It is also possible to break even by picking up talented players cheap and selling them on for more money. However, as every club is trying to do that, it is not easy.

Yann only had 4 his previous 46 before he came to us, whereas Nicky Ajose had 24 in 38 the season before he moved to us

Nope, but I wonder if Moult going may give Stockley another go.

Would be interested in any of these? A fit and injury free Bodin would be a good signing but unfortunately I don't think it would be worth the risk

Would be interested in any of these? I think Reams was always very positive about Moult. Do you think he could do a job Reams?
