I'd be extremely disappointed if we sign any new player over 26 next season, and only JFC and Aneke on new deals. Famewo back on loan as unlikely to get a Prem appearance (or a perm punt?) Perhaps Matthews who was decent in Championship and is better with a run of games. Watson and Gunter need to be bought out. Back-up needed for AMB.

I've put together a contract list of our senior squad on my blog I also had a look at our first team squads over the last five seasons. Unsurprisingly this is our oldest squad since 2016 and the academy & U23 squads have made the smallest impact yet. Just 9% of appearances this season have been made by Academy graduates (Mostly Albie Morgan).

MK Dons star Scott Fraser linked with a move to Hull City.
Scott Fraser is reportedly back on Hull City’s transfer wish list but the MK Dons star would cost a significant fee.
That’s according to the Daily Record who say that the Tigers were interested in the midfielder last year before he joined MK Dons.
The former Dundee United star has netted 14 goals for the League One side this season.
The report states that 26-year-old is still under contract at MK and Hull would need to pay a significant six-figure a get a deal done.
Should Hull City come up with the fund, however, that may make it possible for MK Dons to sign loan striker Will Grigg from Sunderland.

Mmm I think this is going to be the most active thread until the end of the summer window snd I hope I like the outcome though I’m not sure if I will? 🤔🤔

George Long is out of contract at Hull City this summer and is a player Charlton Athletic boss Nigel Adkins knows well.
The goalkeeper’s three-year deal he signed at the KCOM Stadium in 2018 expires in June and although Hull City hold an option to extend by a year, his future in East Yorkshire currently hangs in the balance.

Long is a good keeper, one who I would replace Amos with in a flash. I like Ben but along with many others he has been a huge disappointment this season.

Yes he has ... there have been long range shots that have gone through him and his distribution has been erratic. Assuming we remain in tier 3 I would have hoped that Ashley Maynard Brewer would be given his opportunity with an experienced no 2 in reserve if it doesn’t work out.

If there's a downside to the invent of football Twitter, it's these tinpot accounts that link low-end Championship players with top-end League One clubs, regardless of if there's any chance of it happening. I think I learned my lesson last year and will be listening to Rich Cawley & Pete O'Rourke. Cheers for sharing through Revilo, might put someone on to our radar we didn't think about before.

The pipeline seems to have completely dried up this season. There wasn't one breakthrough and my guess is that its been some time since that was true. We saw something of Barker very early on, but he disappeared as soon as senior players became available. Is this down to Bowyer, is it simply cyclical (i.e. unlucky) or has something changed? I guess we'll see.

Doughty was our last proper breakthrough, before then Morgan and Konsa I guess.

That would be an interesting analysis. You might need to decide how to define ‘breakthrough’ and, hence, who is on the list and which season to allocate to them, but there’ll be a long list of players. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve been averaging two or more per season.

Stockley is looking at houses in the area so that's a good sign.

Spot on Dick and I would sign them both, Colby Bishop and Dion Charles.
My four strikers next season would be:
Stockley Mullin Charles Bishop

We would have been fortunate to get in the play offs this year, overall not good enough, I think a few of the regulars on here are quite happy with another year in this division, this is where we find out how ambitious TS is regarding his talked of 5 year plan, think it will come to fruition this time, first time I have been genuinely excited about the transfer window.

We lost out on promotion when we didn't bring in a CB back in January, this year we need more depth. Pearce did ok once he bedded back in but that was to late.

Interesting... I guess it's either going to be about the fee and he's playing coy, or looking to work with a different system. Quite surprised I honestly don't think there is many better in League One than JS.

To be fair he not going to come out and say yes we are signing him ... when the club are clearly trying to sort out a deal ..
