Some folks might find this gender based 'banter' amusing, if only for the nostalgia element. Personally though I have to say I think it's pretty tiresome.
Back in the 1970's many people used to talk this way about race or religion or regional differences as a matter of course. To some extent it still goes on today and even surfaces on this forum from time to time (anti-scouse sentiment and old firm animosity being two examples).
What I find rather depressing is not just the gender stereotyping, but the way it is conveyed. It's exactly the kind of harmless seeming, apparently good natured way that people used to use to laugh at folks with different skin colour.
Regarding the gender issue I've been guilty of it myself sometimes not so long ago. Though I tried not to be sexist in my criticism of Charlton's last CEO, occasionally I did end up doing just that. Not something I'm proud of now, even if I may sometimes have thought it mildly amusing in the past.
Poking fun at somebody's gender just lowers the tone of any argument. It's a needless, unkind distraction and I would have thought it should be less acceptable these days, in the same way that racial or religious based cheap shots are now rightly looked down on.

What has this to do with Bob Whitehand's tweet? Another thread hijacked. The petty bickering is becoming very tiresome. Why not just concentrate on posting about all things Charlton. If you have got nothing to say about that, don't post.

I'm old enough not to have a problem with the gender based talk.. They only did it, to distract from the fact that they didnt answer my football based question, and to derail a thread.

I think you should get straight on to the EFL and demand, that Roland stops selling players.. Absolutely shocking selling players that want to leave.. Should tie them up and put on 4 year deals of 20000+ a week . Clueless. The selling of our players for peanuts has been well documented and you do not have a leg to stand on. In fact, the entire player recruitment since January 2014 has been a shambles, again well documented.
Recruitment last summer and January was pretty spectacular! Brand new midfield from the EPL plus Taylor and we were promoted. Recruitment this summer looks even better although we haven't seen Hemed and Kayal yet. It's clear you're talking rubbish and think everything is the same as 2015/15. In case you hadn't noticed Meire and Fraeye are gone and recruitment is run by Bows and Gallen.

As for talking rubbish, you'd know all about that.

Kevin - you claim that recruitment in January was “spectacular” Your hero Duchâtelet sold KAG against Bowyer’s wishes...and the “replacement” was Josh Parker. Oh dear.

Being as you did nothing but moan about the last CEO, what are you actually trying to point out. SR is one of the most read posters on here and often provides in depth analysis on football that, quite honestly, I wouldn't want to have to do. The trouble is that you don't want to hear anything that might counter your personal agenda that you seem unable to move away from. It's a shame really as I suspect that underneath all of the wind up crap, you have a reasonable sense of humour.

Whilst you are correct in that we have had a good window it is also worth pointing that once again we are just pampering over the cracks with a full quota of loan signings. We will be starting all over again in either January or next season. Quite a risky strategy don't you think?

Loans will always boost squad numbers as Prem teams horde young players with potential.

At the peak of her powers with her wrecking ball, I know for a fact that you angered a lot of people with your pretty creepy admiration for her. Very, very poor judgement on your part. You couldn’t separate what you saw as her physical attractiveness (if you like girls who look like horses) from her gross professional incompetence & all round arrogance.

All the while they are the quality of the last two windows, I have no complaints..

You really should return to under that bridge from whence you came. You may have noted that I have responded politely when you stick to football and always will.

Remember what Parkinson said to Pardew. He wasn’t wrong.
