Where is that comment directed at you? Seems pretty clear to me.. You need to put your (rose tinted)glasses back on and see that I was replying to seriouslyridiculous.

I think you should get straight on to the EFL and demand, that Roland stops selling players.. Absolutely shocking selling players that want to leave.. Should tie them up and put on 4 year deals of 20000+ a week .

It’s an unfortunate, but undeniable fact, that lower league have no choice, but to sell their best players in order to survive. It’s been this way ever since I first started watching football. You can talk to almost any fan of any club, and they can quote you the name of a player they lost to a bigger club because they needed the money.
I would think, after what has happened to Bury, RD would be even more reluctant to gamble on success by spending more. If anything, it’s probably convinced him that his policy is correct.

What should the EFL have done differently do you think?

What should the EFL have done differently do you think? I was referring to the Belgian rather than EFL involvement.
However, it does arise suspicion with them given what has happened to Bury.

The selling of our players for peanuts has been well documented and you do not have a leg to stand on.
In fact, the entire player recruitment since January 2014 has been a shambles, again well documented.

The thing is my dear friend, worryingly you're probably right.

Surely the less money he pockets from player sales the happier you are?

As an owner of a football club the policy is a good one, from the ability to continnue to trade / exist. As an emotional fanatic of the club, the policy will always be too little, too late.
what say a new owner buys the club and takes on the debt. Whats the plan? To throw wild money to get promotion? what happens if that doesnt happen and 2 years down the line, the cash runs out. So many examples.... Sunderland, Coventry, Wigan.
At present I am happy we have a club & are not in the situation of Bury or Bolton, or others like Southend.

Surely the less money he pockets from player sales the happier you are? Good question there Mr Sleepy. On one hand, it would be getting zero £'s due to his lack of knowledge in player sales/contracts. On the other hand from a long term benefit, it cannot be good. Next question.

His lack of knowledge in player sales/contracts is irrelevant if the players in question want to leave and a player is only worth what another team is willing to pay for him.

Laughable. Of course a lack of knowledge/lack of competent staff is relevant.

We all know the players who have played minimal games then sold. Judas Murray said we would not have to sell our young talent. Or are you going to say that was a figment of the imagination of thousands?

We've always sold our young talent like many other teams outside the premier league, and if your Southampton even in the premier league.
