Have to tbh not really worried if we don't sign anymore players, more worried about the lack of new contracts being signed. Don't think that we can expect any to be signed, when not knowing what division we will be in, or who will own us.

Read this morning that Jason Cummings is returning to Forest from his loan spell at Peterborough.
He hasn't scored that many South of the border but is not a bad striker and scored for fun while at Hibs.
McNulty not in the Reading squad yesterday either, neither was Callum Harriott.

Millwall looking at grant as well Probably in the minority here , although I would not like to see him go , most of these rumours must be his agent spreading it because he ain’t that fucking good that all these teams want him!! Not convinced enough yet that he is a championship standard player yet.

In general when it comes to transfer rumours they originate from the agent trying to generate interest / force a move, or the selling club doing same! Only when our manager and head of recruitment come out with a statement is it worth listening because they are clearly working to an agenda and an agreed script. Just look at the last window and what has happened so far.

No way m8 RD may be the mad professor but he’s also a man who has built up multi millions if not a billion Euros and so why would a financially savvy guy accept £500k when retaining the asset could secure promotion and greatly increase the potential sale price. You may not like to hear it but the owner hasn’t been the problem this year - having made that comment how can a bloke who transfers into CAFC up to a £1 million per month, created an all UK team management team and mainly UK born squad be part of the problem. At this precise moment in time surely over the past year he has morphed into being part of the solution? Excuse me whilst I go and put my hard hat on 😉

Club needs to give him a improved deal and he needs another season with us , if then he pulls up more trees next season wether in league one or the championship he will have a much better calibre of clubs wanting his services.

I think his partnership with Lyle Taylor is the reason for his improvement. I'm hoping he stays until the end of the season, and once we know, what division, will determine contract offered. Should we fail to achieve promotion, I would guess that he would definitely move on.

This squad will be decimated if we don’t go up. Too many of them are Championship calibre

Looks like Sunderland may switch to McNulty after Will Grigg got injured at the weekend...

I am only making that comment based on what has happened in past seasons and the players in the last three seasons that have been sold, some for less than what most would consider their worth. Why would Grant be any different? But as I say you may be right and his thinking may have changed. Time will tell I suppose. And as others have said not sure all these clubs are interested anyway.

What he has is blistering pace. That’s what they want in the higher divisions. Always thought a lot of prem and championship strikers have nothing but blistering pace. Let’s hope he stays with us and we get promoted. There we’ll see if he’s any good at the next level.

Or get him a better contract No idea what deal he's on but any club in a higher league will easily be able to better it. Especially a Championship club with parachute money. Our problems were before Steve Gallen arrived in that we didn't replace decent players who left with adequate replacements. So of course we might offer Grant, and a few others better deals. But if one or two go then the onus is on RD to fund decent acquisitions - since Bowyer and Gallen have proved they know what they're doing.

Why not bring in Otzumer from Bolton? He scored for fun in L1 at Walsall but can't get a game at the moment.

I don't think we will sign anyone until we shift a player out to release the wages. LB may be content to go with Fosu up front to see how it goes. Bit of a gamble I know, but it may work.
