For those who may be interested, just to let you know I've added some new transfer information in the stats part of the forum; I'm trying to keep track of all the players coming and going from our six current promotion chasing rivals; Portsmouth, Luton Town, Sunderland, Barnsley, Peterborough United and Doncaster Rovers. It's the second post down on the thread with this link; intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/23179/transfer-window-stats-january-updatedWill update the information every day if I can. If any of the information is wrong or if any names are missing from the tables please let me know and I will make corrections as required. Regards, Lardy

I know Chris from his Wrexham days, I just welcomed him to Charlton and wished him all the best. LB has a bit of a problem now as Phillips made a cracking point blank save yesterday and was pretty solid all game to be honest but Maxwell is far too good to sit on the bench and hasn't come here to do that. Talking of another Chris I understand that you met my m8 Ketts yesterday. He mentioned how tall you were and so you must have dwarfed him m8 😉 met Paul once , I’m 6’3” and he towered above me! Tall Paul best describes him

Yes I did have a few fans fans walking up to me introducing themselves saying how much they enjoyed the forum.
It was good to meet Chris (Ketts) and to be fair one or two came over to say hello from CL too.

Agree again, although I do feel the save with his foot was as much luck as judgement but all in all he had a solid game. It was as actually quite interesting sitting as close as I was and hearing him talking with his defenders. Having watched the Sky main game I didn’t think de Gea was lucky with the blocks he made with his feet.

Maybe the upturn in fortunes is having an effect m8 👍 Reds mantra of supporting Bows and the boys is gaining traction and we are seeing a growing number of ‘returnees’ at games!

Rangers want KAG
Contract over in the summer so could walk for free, leaving us in trouble and with no money to replace him (not that the money would be used for that anyway)
Hope it doesn't happen and we get him signed up for longer

To be honest, is there any other way of supporting CAFC! Let's see what the gate is on Saturday. We should be proud that this site has been 100% behind the rebuild of our squad willing us to improve upon last season.

Tbh the level of the Scottish prem is probably mid championship for the bigger teams (some may not agree) and KG wages would obviously improve but I think Taylor has improved his game ten fold and could be instrumental in him being able to play at a higher level so would be a risky transfer, career wise for KG who would benefit more from staying where he is as he’s only just established himself this season and the bench in Scotland is a bloody cold place to sit!!

Not happy about this speculation at all because Grant is playing well at present and scoring goals.
The good news is I am sure that if he goes LB will bring a better striker in but until then we have a player we are relying on to score goals for us but there is no doubt that he would have had his head turned by all this and his form my suffer.
Perhaps that is the reason he missed two clear cut scoring opportunities at Shrewsbury.

Have to say Bowyer didn't sound that convincing that karlan will stay in this mornings press conference. Karlan is not a natural finisher but his pace is frightening teams, he can make things happen when he is on his game. For me he is integral to this team, really bad timing all round.

Mmmn! see what you mean mate, doesn't sound too hopeful does it. Reading between the lines, we're having trouble matching what Rangers could offer him. Still, if he stays for the rest of the season and is only signing a pre-contract with Rangers, hopefully we will go up and can rebuild again for the Championship.

As daft as it sounds Grant isn't good enough for the Championship but is for the SPL.

Having Cullen back in the squad this Saturday could be like having another signing for the 2nd half of the season.

Have to tbh not really worried if we don't sign anymore players, more worried about the lack of new contracts being signed.
