Maybe cobblers, but I’ve just read in believe it or not a West Country paper that Huddersfield are rumoured to have offered 2 million for Grant.

With Taylor out for three games it would be madness to sell Grant now.

I’m a fan of Grant and his recent improvement, however, his rise this season is no doubt highly contributed by his strike partner Lyle Taylor who not only keeps his confidence high when he misses easy chances but also recently allowing him to take penalties ( 3 of his 14 goals). I think if he were to leave, especially in this window, it could go completely pear shaped for him. Most clubs don’t give players much time to be scoring regularly and unless his has a player like Taylor with him then I think he could struggle... It’s his first full season doing well for his club and is probably better off staying put where he could get promotion!

Paul Smyth being linked. A forward from QPR, ex Linfield.

I think he's got great potential but needs to do prove himself more than just half a season. If he goes then he could just end up warming the bench or the reserves.
The premier league clubs interest makes no sense at all to me.

Best result would be for Karlan to sign a new deal with us , get us promoted and then we accept 7/8 million in the summer... 🤑

Barcelona and Real Madrid have join the race to sign Charlton forward Grant but they face stiff opposition from the whole of the premier league , all the the teams from the championship , half the teams in league 1 and the Dallas Cowboys from the NFL.

Could be a good loan signing, if we get him. A free agent this summer.

The challenge for our club is to max the fee AND source new talent. The strategy should be to keep oiling the wheels in the machine such that players suddenly attract big offers AND to keep improving tactics and performance. Our club is not defined by the couple of players we sell, nor the ones that we can't wait to leave! No, it's the 20 players from the academy, on loan and free agents which shape our fortunes. All I would add is that Gallen and Bowyer know what they are doing and should be given the authority to keep up the good work. And Fosu needs to make his claim if things shift the way th ed rumours indicate.

At least sell him to a club that’ll loan him back to us for rest of season if they must sell...
Ironic thing is that we will be in same league as Huddersfield next year and while Grant warms the bench for them as they can’t offload their big earners , we will be flying with Lyle and his new muse...

Well, if KG is not going to sign a new contract, then lets take £2 million for him now!
Spend a million on Eaves (or similar) put the other million towards the running costs, sign the fellow from QPR on loan as well job done!
Although he has done well so far this season, one man does not make a team, as long as we can replace him we'll be fine!

I think most people would swap Grant and a million for Tom Eaves , but that happening is hardly likely with RD in charge of the purse strings...

Much as I love what Grant has done for us this season, I don't think he's Championship quality let alone Premier league.
