I read the same when Ezekiel moved over there, it's madness and Qatar are up to no good if you ask me.
Lestienne is a good player but hardly plating for Genoa.

You are right. I forgot Imoh Ezekiel. El Arabi paid 8 million euro for him and he is playing there for the moment.

So if champions league clubs all over Europe want to loan Mpoku there was never really any chance that Duchatalet could instruct him to pitch up in SE7 was there!?

Why not? RD could have sold him at a slightly reduced price to a Qatari club on the understanding that he is loaned to Charlton.

If he's as good as everyone seems to think he is, he would need to have a really crap agent to agree to anything like that, reams...it's going to be at least 2017 before we get Champions League football at the Valley!

Bingo!! And there you have it folks an insight into what to expect in the summer. Sint Truiden have one foot in the Jupiler Pro League next season already, they are running away with League 2. Duchatelet can walk the streets in the town because they know that no matter what anybody says he is behind their success. Now one thing you won't see is RD walking the streets of Liege much in comparison and we all know why. At the start of the season they were CL competitors, within three months of their first game they were out and all their star players gone! As ridgeback says Sint Truidens squad this season are heavily reliable on Standard Liege and Piotr from us meaning that next season they will need a whole new squad because most of them will have gone back and those who remain will not be allowed to play against their parent club. In other words although not directly involved RD will no doubt be involved in their rebuilding during the summer and we all know at who's expense. Ourselves, SL and ST will all need team strengthening next season and not many will wager on us being his first port of call. With us being one step away from the 'money league' you would like to think we are the priority for Duchatelet. It is just a shame that he appears to have an unorthodox way of recruiting staff!

According Sudpresse Belgian International Laurent Ciman has a personal agreement with the Swiss FC Sion. Roland Duchatelet would think Anderlecht target Aleksander Scholz to replace him. Laurent Ciman 's been several years a stronghold in defense of the Rouches. However, he would like to explore other horizons. According Sudpresse the Red Devil a personal agreement with the Swiss FC Sion . At club level there is still no agreement. Mainly the guarantee that daughter Nina , who suffers from underdevelopment, continues to receive the best care in Sion late Ciman not insensitive. If possible replacement the Rouches would think of Aleksander Scholz Lokeren. The stylish defender Lokeren become top the wishlist of Anderlecht, but now wants Standard also jump into the dance .. www.sport.be/nl/jupilerproleague/nieuws/article.html?Article_ID=716156

Looks like they have a new manager, a Serb who has been out of work since last year!! Who knows Slavoljub Muslin yet? Roland Duchâtelet already did. The president of Standard was already with the 61-year-old Serb around the table. Muslin is the new coach of the Rouches? According to Het Nieuwsblad and La Derniere Heure Muslin a serious candidate. Now the slopes of Aleksandar Jankovic (KV Mechelen) and Jocelyn Gourvennec (Guingamp) on nothing turned out the track Muslin seems to be more likely to succeed. The Serb's been since 2014 without a team and there does not have to be negotiated with another club. His last club was the Russian Amkar Perm . Muslin has lived 30 years in France , is married to a Frenchwoman and therefore speaks fluent French. He is familiar with the Jupiler Pro League , because from 2005 to 2007 he was coach of Lokeren , interspersed with a brief interlude at Lokomotiv Moscow . In total Muslin coached in the past 28 years 16 different clubs. His greatest successes he achieved with Red Star Belgrade , where he won the double twice.

I understand that Benfica have put a bid in for Standard Liege winger Mehdi Carcela and Real Sociedad are interested in central defender Alexander Sholz.

Carcela and Ezekiel have now left Standard with the former heading to Benfica and Ezekiel has returned to his Qatari side but he could be back in Belgium next season with Anderlecht.
De Camargo, Louis and Mujangi Bia are also expected to leave as their contracts have expired.
Meanwhile Yannis Mbombo, the sole remaining striker at the club has returned from his loan spell with French Club Auxerre and has now been borrowed to St Truiden for the whole of next season, not good news for Polish Pete!

The Santini confirmation is on the rumours thread Al, I also expect them to sign Yattara from Lyon to play with him up front which is a very good Front two. I said we should sign Santini last season when I saw him play and they were banging goals in early doors for fun especially away from home but a Belgian football fan tried to put me in my place saying he didn't rate him!. This is from May 2014! intothevalley.proboards.com/thread/16128/realistic-belgian-targets-outside-network

Same agent as Coquelin who I understand we were trying to sign before Arsenal recalled him. Small world football and it appears we are fishing in the right talent pools. Posted elsewhere - Lepoint shares an agent with Bia and Vossen.

This is the latest from Standard Liege with regards to their own targets and players who may be leaving them and includes a weird situation surrounding M'Poku!!
STANDARD Axel Lawaree an update on current issues.
This weekend in Binche and in Tongeren for the first two friendly outings of the new Standard, the sports adviser Axel Lawaree an update on the transfer market after the change of direction. He referred to the current files.
Dompé the rumor: "I do not know who started this rumor Is an agent I do not know I did not at all busy this matter.?.."
Yoni Buyens: "There are clubs interested (Editor's note: Genk) . The player must also make a choice, and we reach an agreement but it is towards an agreement that we are moving With Several Genk..? clubs have positioned Yoni must choose Lower the transfer fee.. (Editor's note: the club claiming € 1 million) ?. We negotiate with the change of direction, it is not necessarily the same basis of discussions. "
Changing direction: "We are in continuity People wonder to whom we must speak It will take a little time to adapt and that is organized differently One is, with Pierre Locht, in constant contact with... Bruno and we have a big meeting on Monday. "
The return of banished agents: "Things are clear Roland did not want to work with certain people and I accepted today there is a new card to play and you have to give everyone a chance to prove his.. capabilities. But the choice will be up to president. "
Darwin Andrade: "We know what we can bring and the maximum is done to find a solution He broke last season he wanted to stay It would be ideal to find an agreement...."
Ezekiel and Yattara: ... "I still have hope You know you should strengthen and advance in parallel on several issues we will see the first that can be done and Ezekiel Yattara, it becomes perhaps be much. There are still other tracks because you can always be faced with a denial. They advance on known issues and some less. "
Ryan Mmaee: . "He has one year contract and I am currently looking to go with him on a long-term contract if it does not extend, it will certainly be another striker because I will not push for a player remains and give him playing time if he does not adhere to the project. "
Sammy Mmaee: "It is known that Ryan played since early last season He is young and it would be nice he can stay.."
Frédéric Bulot: "We seek a solution for the world was on the flanks The release We just want to find the right formula..?."
Mujangi Bia: "There is nothing concrete so it does not move He has three-year contract, from there, I'm not afraid He must prepare as if he stayed and.. it may remain. "
M'Poku:
It has emerged today that Al Arabi never paid the transfer fee to Liege for him!
Last January, Paul-José Mpoku facilitated the transfer market. Courted by Al Arabi, the native of Verviers has seen all the colors as the file has been slow to be fixed! It is finally the beginning of February saw the Standardman end of the tunnel with the signing of its loan to Cagliari. After six months in Serie A and the relegation of his club, Mpoku was looking for a new home port. "My future lies in Serie A" , he had told us..
But the immediate future of Mpoku lies more in Belgium with Standard rather than in Italy or even in Qatar because the transfer fee of 4.9 million euros was never officially paid by Al Arabi despite them immediately loaning him out to Cagliari after he joined them!!
The Qataris have never honored their commitment so Mpoku never belonged to Al Arabi at all and his loan deal with Cagliari ends this on June 30 when he is expected to then resume training for Liège.

Ouch!!! www.dhnet.be/sports/football/ezekiel-je-n-ai-pas-peur-d-aller-a-sclessin-55afebdd3570b54652db9899Ezekiel: "I'm not afraid to go to Sclessin"Imoh Ezekiel says he wanted to sign Anderlecht "and try to win the title." Since the end of the season with the Standard, Imoh Ezekiel has experienced difficult months. During eight weeks, many questions arose about his future. "I do not know where I was going but I stayed cool because I knew I was going to a better." It is now relieved he was loaned Anderlecht for a season.

Does anyone know if Luzon made contact with Mujangi Bia while in Belgium? He would be a great addition along with Henry for places on the wing

Couldn't agree more Mujangi Bia would be a fantastic signing as I have said for months.
I would imagine their paths crossed but unless he signs we'll never know.

The players they are signing, on or two on 5 year deals by the way are not of the same ilk of those he is letting go. 23 year old Adrien Trebel has signed from Nantes, defender Jorge Filipe Avelino Texeira has come in from FC Zurich and Martin Milec on a five year deal from Slovenian club Maribor. Hardly household names and without doubt the first signs of a possible shift in power for RD. I have returned to this thread and my post above because we are in exactly the same position right now as Standard were then and Duchatlet is doing exactly the same thing to us as what he did to them. He is sanctioning players who are better than what we have but still not good enough for the Championship, Teixeira for example! We let Morrison go and are now on out 4th central defender trying to replace him!!! He has tried, Sarr, Johnson Bauer who are not good enough so he thinks all he has to do is find somebody better then them rather than the player he let go in the first place - Morrison!!

Not sure about Sarr, really want to like him but it's not looked great so far, as you say, only young let's see how he develops next season if he is still here.
