Milec must be gutted leaving Maribor for Standard, he has thrown away CL football. Yep, but he earns 5 times as much...

He has hardly played yet, I think he has made one appearance against Kortrijk and that's it?

I thought he played at right back against Kortijk, but I'll probably be wrong

Only because Ciman was given extra time off after the World Cup even though he didn't play for Belgium in Brazil and Stam was injured.

I have always said that the Belgain Jupiler League, Anderlecht apart, is nowhere near as good as the Championship. You only have to look at Zulte Waregem who only just finished behind Standard last season and Wigan knocked them out of the Europa League so it makes sense for RD to switch his priorities. Anderlecht earned €8.6m Euros from the Champions League group stages last season which is dwarfed by the promotion money you can win from the championship. Ok, but if you compare on single matches (cfr.Wigan) then we can conclude that #6 in the Belgian Jupiler League could survive in the PL since they 've beaten Hull in 2 legs?

Lokeren playing in their own stadium are hard to beat but when they are poor travellers and it costs them every season.
Second place is there for the taking in Belgium this season, Anderlecht will walk it but Standard, Genk and Zulte seem weaker this season, Genk because Vossen isn't playing.
Gent will be the surprise team this season with Lokeren up there too. Newly promoted Mouscron might just gain a Europa League place if they can keep their early form up, the same can be said for Westerlo.

Milec is a midfielder though joeri, Solly is a defender. Milec is a defender. He didn't play any games yet because he had little injures. Last game against Lokeren he took 2 yellow cards and standard de liège needed to play with 10 for a whole second half. Because of him we only played a draw... Lokeren made the equalizer in the 87 minute.

Now they have loaned striker Yannis Mbombo to the French second division club Auxerre!! Strange one that.

It really hasn't worked out for Michy Batshuayi at Marseille having only made 9 appearances off the bench and featuring for just 201 minutes all season. I wonder if RD will put in a January loan bid? Marseille are top of the French league and do not have an embarrassment of riches up front. They'll need a major forward in to make sure their CL push succeeds. Him and Baptiste Guillaume from Lens will do the business for us. uk.soccerway.com/players/michy-batshuayi/177338/

Damn. Though I expect the signing of Neil Elleridge is a stop gap until Jan with the Japanese goalkeeper coming in. Wasn't Henderson out for 6 months last season with the same injury?

Polish Pete cannot come back this season. Legaly, there is no connexion between STVV and the network. There is no connexion with DUCHATELET. But his wife owns the stadium and the connected shopping center and hotel. By coincidence a lot of the players in the squad are loaned or transferred from STANDARD and one from CHARLTON. Also by coincidence RD lives just near the stadium (0,05 miles) and he is frequently seen in the stadium and on the street, as he is a very humble person, talking to everybody and listening to peoples opinion. If you go to Sint-Truiden you can meet him. A few Charlton fans have seen him in the summer and could discuss with him without any restrictions.

Bingo!!
And there you have it folks an insight into what to expect in the summer.
Sint Truiden have one foot in the Jupiler Pro League next season already, they are running away with League 2.
Duchatelet can walk the streets in the town because they know that no matter what anybody says he is behind their success.
Now one thing you won't see is RD walking the streets of Liege much in comparison and we all know why. At the start of the season they were CL competitors, within three months of their first game they were out and all their star players gone!
As ridgeback says Sint Truidens squad this season are heavily reliable on Standard Liege and Piotr from us meaning that next season they will need a whole new squad because most of them will have gone back and those who remain will not be allowed to play against their parent club.
In other words although not directly involved RD will no doubt be involved in their rebuilding during the summer and we all know at who's expense. Ourselves, SL and ST will all need team strengthening next season and not many will wager on us being his first port of call.

Rebuilding a squad at CHARLTON, STANDARD and STVV is no financial problem for RD. Just take a look at his company holdings and take MELEXIS as an example. Worldwide 7000 people are employed by DUCHATELET and when you meet him at CHARLTON, you can talk to him. He is a very humble person and lives like you an me and drives a very affordable car, just like you and me.

Ourselves and STVV will be the main priorities for RD between now and this time next year , that's my opinion and belief anyway! He's already stripped Liege of their 'assets' and now their squad is almost worthless ; it is also known that he wants to sell too! In my opinion again, a possibility that the main reason for squad fillers and smaller 'name' players being Belgian is that they will be more open to a move to STVV - thus saving RD money buying two new squads ( he would buy Charlton a new and improved squad whilst sending players like Moussa, Buyens , Bulot and a few youth players and Liege players to STVV as a cheap but definite improvement to their current squad). Our squad and current crop of youngsters are a bit of a step up from that at STVV so it would make sense to 'recycle' the players at Charlton... This is of course only my opinion and my thoughts on what could happen but I wouldn't get my hope up of signing many if any players any time soon if I was a Liege fan - where as fans at STVV could soon see Moussa and pals alongside Piotr!

It says Al-Arabi are willing to pay more than four million euros for him, so no surprise he's not coming to SE7! It also says (in the site's French-language verasion - I can't read much German) that the player "n'était disposé à faire l'objet d'un prêt à un club européen" (trans: he refused a loan move to a European club).

The article is in Dutch. It says that a loan deal was no option in August. Now it is. Wolfsburg,Napoli and Schalke 04 are interested. El Arabi are paying more than 4 million euros. M'Poku had a deal with RD. He was allowed to leave Standard in January. In his contract was mentioned that he could leave for 4 million euros.

Dutch is another language I can't read, but as my wife is French I have to make an effort in that one!
The French-language version of the site states he refused a loan to a European club when Duchatalet weas looking to move him on in August. Is he now up for loan - or for sale? I read it that he was being sold. Or is a loan still an option?

So for the moment he still up for loan. Maxime LESTIENNE was sold this summer from Bruges to El Arabi (5 year contract) and was immediatly loaned out for the season 14-15 to the Italian club Genoa. It's a bizar situation. Nobody knows, if they ever are going to play in Qatar. Perhaps Qatar is trying to naturalise them for the Qatar national team (World cup in Qatar). It's just a guess, I really don't know.
