Am upset he’s gone but the important thing is how we recruit from now on. We desperately need a top replacement (not Godden in isolation) This. Godden and Ahadme looks sensible use of the Alfie fee. |

With the kind of supply he'll get this year, he/Brum will tear this league up unfortunately. When you're spending £15-20m on your squad investment (on top of an already Championship level squad), it's only going one way. Not sure how they comply with FFP if this doesn't pay off for them.
Also goes to show how broken FFP is to begin with, 3x Championship parachute with 2 automatic promotion places...

Can we give it a rest now please. There wasn't this much fall out when Mendonca, Hunt and Kermorgant left us so why him? He isn't good enough to be mentioned in teh same breath as those above. L1 player at best while the others played in the Premier League. |

Perhaps so but he had made his mind up to leave when Hudersfield wanted him. He wanted to play for Duff. His family had already moved back up to Yorkshire so his mind was set but then Birmingham came in for him last minute with a double your money offer which he would have been stupid to turn down.
If he hadn't have gone to Brum he would be playing for Huddersfield right now not us.
