Huddersfield Fan coming in peace here!! We are all wondering what on earth is going on with this saga! It’s quiet on our end but our “ITKs” are convinced that we have agreed a fee! However it seems strange that you are selling arguably the best striker in the league?! I personally think you have the best manager in the league in jones, however i know he’s one to take no shit! Has there been a fall out? If anyone has any updates let me know! Good luck for the season Addicks. Reams might say otherwise but as far as I can see he just didn't fit what Jones was trying to do. He's a goalscorer and bags of energy but Jones typically likes a more physical team especially in the lower leagues. Even towards the end of last season Alfie started a few games on the bench for us so if we're going to be getting north of £1.2mil (which is the believed fee), then I suppose it would make sense for Nathan to reinvest it into players he really wants. Fans are pretty much divided on it as although he's guaranteed goals in this league, the wider team is clearly more important as Charlton and Cheltenham have done sweet nothing whilst Alfie has been banging them in. Just ironic we're finally getting the type of players that might kick us on, and we're losing 20+ goals in Alfie. We have been crying out for a goal scorer for years, and in this league i dont think there is much better than May. I think the ideal replacement for you would be Langstaff. Great player. |

No apology required dickplumb. I don't want him to go as much as the next man and will take no satisfaction from saying he would leave if that turns out to be the case, but it's football I'm afraid.
As long as the money goes back in and the squad is strengthened with some proven players, I won't mind so much.
What you give to charity is your business and good on you but don't feel as though this was some kind of bet that I am going to hold you to because i'm not.

Huddersfield and Charlton haven't given RC a running commentary of what's currently going on. For now he is correct, the situation hasn't changed but does he need to come out and tweet that on a Saturday night when it's clear he hasn't got any fresh information since the last time he got it wrong! |

Alfie May is clearly available for sale at the right price. Surely, nobody doubts that now? I think we can go further though and say that the club has a predisposition to sell him. As I said earlier in this thread, if we have confidence in the club’s owners and its management this means it will now be bad news if May doesn’t move on because it means that somewhere along the line our plans aren’t quite working out as intended. |

This has been dragging on for some time now. Hopefully we name our price to Huddersfield and they either take it or leave it, and we move on either way.
It's clear whilst we have brought in some good additions, we are quite far off in other areas, and whist I don't want May to leave I would rather it gets sorted one way or the other and we can concentrate on bringing in other much needed targets.
