NJ said the right things so far with his comments about removing passengers and removing sentimentality and the need to be aggressive in the pursuit of our targets. I think the most telling comment was along the lines of "this group has gone as far as it can go" Let the cull begin. Amen! Other than Small and maybe Dobbo, I would get rid of them all. Hoping Ness goes on loan or gets shipped off like Deji was this season. He is not a LG1 player. I would keep Leaburn , Ramsey and May and possibly REG as well.

I don't like using soundbites/ClichƩs,but we have a quality manager now,we have to as people say "trust the process" and let him get on with it.
I'd LOVE as we all would for NJ to get a blank cheque and assemble a team to walk the league, but I think we'd all agree if we see obvious progression next season and sustain a play off push that would be a major step.
Bolton have had sustained continuity with Ian Evitt, and built over time,I believe we now have the right man at the helm and we have to invest in him.
I reiterate I'd LOVE nothing more than to romp the league next season, but considering what's gone before an obvious upturn and being on the right track for success would feel great.

Isted Watson small Ramsey Hector Green Jones would be the defensive players to keep , midfield Coventry Anderson ( send on loan ) strikers May Leaburn Kanu ( send on loan ) ..

Yep one that can command his box, bark orders to his defence, distribute well and come for crosses and actually catch them would be handyšā¦ā¦Is that too much to askš Iāll bump this one as there are rumours we are in for Matt Mackey just released by Pompey, played 21 games for them this seasonā¦.. Fella is Six foot sevenā¦ā¦.š³ā¦ā¦If he donāt come for crosses and catch them there must be something wrongā¦ā¦.Just the size of keeper we are after š¤£š¤£š¤£

It's weird to finish a season in April and then be looking at what teams in other divisions are doing, pondering how it might affect who they offer contract extensions to. For example, I'm hoping Ipswich guarantee promotion (they haven't quite mathematically) on Saturday and we can then make their GK Christian Walton our first close season signing. I'm also hoping Luton stay up as that might make the Luke Berry rumour more likely to happen. Still weeks of checking Flashscore to go, even though our damp squib of season is long over!

Would imagine NJ would be having quite a few hyperthetical conversations with multiple targets based on different senariosā¦ā¦Hoping we get as many of his plan A targets as possibleā¦ā¦..and no more dodgy Man City Loans š

This season just keeps on giving! I'd say that's the same for most seasons though. Although I'm not sure as a fan base we've ever been more aligned on what positions we need to strengthen than we are now. Feels like most are saying the same things. Usually it's harder to identify where we need improvements.

Usually it's harder to identify where we need improvements. The big difference this season is NJ saying he wants us to get most of our business done early (by the end of June). I just checked last close season and our first signing was Isted on 24th June with everyone else July or later. It's that 'seeking early deals' factor that has me focused on other teams' free agent policies more than in any previous season.

Looking online they had 9 permanents in by 3rd Jul Many thanks for the stat answer š So It does just go to show, if you go out with intent and pay the going rate for your targets you can assemble your squad in time for the summer pre season training camp..and I do think we will also be getting in 8 or even 9 new starters for next season Previously I think we have been left hanging on waiting on answers from agents who donāt think our financial package is good enough for their player or think they can get better from other clubsā¦.ā¦..This doesnāt seem to have happened to Pompey last summer and look how their season turned outā¦ā¦š

Ipswich also done well in the market. Yep, they also paid the going rate on a slightly grander scale budget wise admittedly and got their targets in and they are now heading into the Premiership Wrexham have done exactly the same over the last couple of seasons and no doubt will continue to do this this summerā¦ā¦ā¦There is a common theme going on hereā¦..
