We might now have some money to spend if we do get any from it, which can only be a good thing. We already got money to spend If we already have money to spend then why does Jones keep saying we have to offload players wages before we can bring new players in…..if we had money to spend I am pretty sure he would have brought in Potts by now? Feels to me that we have blown our budget on 7 new players…..3 of which came in on frees….. |

Reams any updates on anything? This is starting to get a little worrying. Still need to move players on before we can even look probably missing out on targets in the process. Why is it worrying still a few weeks to go .. and Jones said these last signings will be the hardest of the lot as teams are reluctant to release players until they have their squad Think they will be even harder if we can’t shift Fraser, Taylor & Ness……….as Jones has said in his presser we at the max at present…..his words….. |

Yeah, absolutely loved all the initial excitement and enthusiasm of the 7 that came in……we was told to expect 10….with May going…….What we didn’t realise was this was based on us offloading more players…..even though we offloaded at least 14 at the end of the season including loan wages…..🤣🤣…… |

I would day that he means there is no money available until players leave. That free's up wages for either a perm or two or maybe the loan route. NJ said the other day that the squad is at it's max so that tells me that the money generated from outgoings will be used to finalise our squad. |

In other words the talk isn't being backed up if you say they have spent 800k. |

It could well be the board want to spend more money, but because of the size of the squad we are limited at the moment under the financial restrictions. Didn't last year Methven say that the board had to input more money into the club because they went over the allowed amount. Maybe they wanted to avoid having to do that again because it "bent" the rules a little.
Offloading players NJ doesn't want is key and probably something they didn't think they would struggle to do.
If we can off-load Fraser, Edun, Ness and Taylor (the latter I think we should have given a chance at least) then maybe they will invest more in the squad before window closes. Can't believe for one second NJ thinks we anywhere near promotion candidates without creativity in the team. But if we are restricted by financial rules then we are going to have to be patient.
Annoying, granted, but considering the FA are really clamping down on financial runnings of clubs then I think we can't take a risk yet.

As for Campbell I think he has a part to play, particularly from the bench with his pace, but currently not good enough to start. |

For me there is one single element of the match day experience I (and I suspect most would agree) truly care about and that's watching your team win. Fan zone's/pre match stuff all well and good,but I'd rather every available penny went on the squad,a team looking likely to achieve something will increase the traffic in the largest fan zone....The Valley. |

The Athletic reckons Hull paid £2m for Burstow. We originally (reportedly) sold him for £1.6m, so any sell-on fee will only apply to the £400k difference.
Assuming it's 25% (the most common sell-on percentage) that means a whopping £100k for us to add to our transfer pot. Don't spend it all at once Nathan.

The fact the ownership were at the game today can only be good! Seeing the reaction of the fans and the early unity of the players to fans brings me confidence we will see some more incomings, regardless whether we get players out the door! Even Jones has eluded to more incomings.
