To many GK targets messing around, I would stick with Mannion now and move on to other position targets. Agreed. Go on Will, make the shirt your own son. I really hope that he does make it his own. I know he has not had a lot to do and it’s only pre season but some of the pre judged ideas that he is not good enough as no1 from some fans after doing nothing wrong is so harsh. Just because he has only played below us and is not as experienced as some want. I personally think we gotta get behind him and I back him to suprise a lot of people.

Can’t blame him for choosing them over us.
Their owner is miles better than ours are when it comes to football.

I think we'll go back and talk to Southampton myself about Joe Lumley or even Alex McCarthy should he not feature in the matchday squad.
Another name who rarely played last season is Karl Darlow at Leeds.

Awful keeper, not one fan from his past clubs fan bases would disagree on that.

I generally think we should be going after Ben Wilson to be honest, one of the better keepers out there that will be 3rd choice at the club

Dick on a stick (Royston) Nick Gray to be precise complaining on the three men and a baby forum that NJ hasn't been backed by the board.
This is because the keeper deal fell through.
This morning the same pleb was bemoaning us going down the loan route!!
He populates the only forum he hasn't been banned from by slagging me and everyone else off on here.
I love sitting with my feet up living rent free in his head!

We all know that these same players that are sitting on their hands waiting to see if any better offers come along will start panicking after this weekend when their not included and suddenly realise that they may have to be more realistic.. in their demands … think there will be more options open to us as we closer and closer to the window shutting ..

Looking at recent lineups for Coventry. Ben Wilson seems out of favour. Another solid option we may look at.

I’d rather give Mannion a proper go than wait for another Adam Matthews style mercenary. Hopefully them days are gone.

George Long also a good option Trust me, as a long time Lions fan who had to suffer George Long in goal the season before last, you do not want him as your keeper. Made horrendous mistakes through the season, culminating in letting in a couple of positional howlers last game of that season which cost us a play off place. You can do a lot better than him. Stick with Mannion or even AWB as your No. 1 and No. 2. Much better keepers than Long.

How long is it taking Fraser to get to Scotland... Is he walking there? Fraser outgoing,Bishop incoming? Or freeing up space to sign Potts?

Might be worth giving Bounemouth a call and ask what the situation is with Mark Travers and Will Dennis. The Cherries have recently signed a new keeper, so one of them could be available on loan. Travers had a short period at Stoke last season, while Dennis had a successful season at Kilmarnock.

A day late on this one but glass half full its amazing we are in for such a quality keeper we just run risk we lose targets to clubs in higher leagues. That is the perspective, if we lost to league one (Brum aside) which we used to do we should rightly moan. But we are losing to clubs in higher leagues. Owners, Scott and Jones doing a good job for me this transfer window, people have short memories the last few years have been terrible Biggest issue we have is shifting people on due to mistakes of the Sandgaards and that will take another one or two windows to sort. As for league position, Jones was top 8 i think in the results since he came in with a far inferior squad so lets see what he does with this one. Theres no chance we wont at least make the play offs. So all you entitled fans dust your credit cards off and buy a season ticket

MacGillivray,Fraser, Jaiyesimi, MacGrandles, Hector, Aneke. People wanted them. Payne , Egbo, Wollacott etc Last close season we had Taylor, Ladapo, Panuche. People were over whelming happy. We all thought Fraser was sound. I had seen Taylor for Burton twice . He was the only one I could really say, other than Fraser and Jaiyesimi, were good. I got one right. I was against Aneke because Bowyer nicked him and then rejected him . We all know why.

People will generally welcome signings because they want them to work. Despite the claims of some, most won’t have a clue as to whether they will be successful. One other issue was clearly the injuries and some would have been successful had the new structure been in place. The medical improvements are another reason to feel optimistic particularly

Although we haven't been successful in going for one or two players who might be out of our "league", if we have a successful season it bodes well for the future in showing our owners commitments and aims.

I was against Aneke because Bowyer nicked him and then rejected him . We all know why. I don't, please enlighten me. He wasn't fit enough for Bowyer and was not doing the business. 18 games 1 goal iirc. He has been that way with Charlton for 31 months. How the hell he past a medical to be fit for football, beggars belief. And here we are hoping he may be fit now. His one run of any note against Pompey showed that he isn't. Plus the missed header, of which that is one of 3 recently.

The key to Fraser going back to Dundee is much dependent on their captain Luke McCowan leaving Tynecastle. Hibs and Bolton are both interested in him while Hearts boss Tommy Docherty is lining up Aaron Donnelly and Fraser. The bit of movement he refers to in this article is what I told you last weekend about Fraser going back up to Scotland by the end of this week. Surely a better idea would for us to do a swop with them because McCowan looked the part in the Dundee derby last weekend, a game that finished 2-2 and he looked every bit the driving force that he has been referred to here. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/luke-mccowan-transfer-dundee-hibs-33408990
