Got some feedback from a mad QPR fan mate of mine…..He is a very good shot stopper, comes for crosses and commands his box but likes to go long with his kicking…..

It already had legs mate, like I said yesterday he's been at Sparrows Lane this week. Not sure why fans need to run to the man, who by the way also said at the start of the summer that Dan Potts is of no interest. Don't mean you by the way.

Good to hear Cawley reporting on this. Would be a great signing I believe

Begovic as player and supporting the coaching team would be awesome Isn’t Stephen Henderson the goal keeping coach? He is but another experienced person can only help. I’m not suggesting he takes over from Henderson.

I'm all for an experienced keeper. Hopefully he can organise our defence enough using his experience that age won't matter, but i can't lie and say age is not a concern. Depends how fit he is. Will soon find out, assuming it actually happens.

Will soon find out, assuming it actually happens. There's a good few top keepers who have carried on playing at the highest level way past Begovic's age and the experience he would bring to the defence is priceless. I believe not too long ago Milan's number one keeper was 42 yrs old.

I think people are forgetting that in the not too distant past, Asmir Begovic was the number one goalkeeper for AC Milan and Chelsea. That alone is impressive.

I wonder if it a perm or loan? A loan would be fair to all parties, to assess his value and upheaval of moving to a new country and fending for himself.
I did speculate whether he may have returned with U21s.

Apologies, should have posted "regularly" concerning Ahadme, but according to records Berry scored 2 in 17 PL games ? Or is that incorrect ? I mean in terms of minutes. Berry played a total of 310 minutes (since mostly short sub appearances) in last season's PL. He scored two which equals a goal every 165 minutes, ie better than one every two games in terms of minutes. By way of comparison (albeit from a much higher overall minutage) Alfie May scored a goal every 151 minutes in L1 last season. Berry is likely to play a lot more minutes this coming L1 season than he did in the PL. If he can even score half as regularly as he did last season, he'll be the 10+ goals midfielder people are saying we lack.

I suspect Dixon will start out with the U21s, but can hopefully force himself into the first team picture sooner rather than later. It wouldn't surprise me if he hasn't already played for our U21s as a triallist btw. Bearing in mind that we played two games in Jamaica last week and the club pointedly haven't revealed the line-ups for those (or even the scores, I don't think).

Bit of footage here of Kaheim Dixon who we were discussing earlier. There is plenty of work to do as bigger clubs are interested but what a prospect he looks. I do like it when something ages well!!

Yeah looks that way. Interesting! Maybe to provide us with a chance to swap formation?

Glad to hear this from Cawley. Another Tyrece Campbell type player?

If heading straight into the senior squad that sorts out a balance issue. Campbell and Dixon can both play on either wing but TC has primarily been used on the left and Dixon on the right. Whilst we're not expecting NJ to play with wingers much, this does give options ('game changers') from the bench. Given that both players are young thus not on high wages (and outside of the salary cap) it's a non-spendy way to have the option of switching to wingers where and when needed.

Let’s hope he’s not another Kyle Reid… his feet were too fast for his brain!

Happy with that one but surprised to hear from RC that Dixon is going straight into the senior set up. I assumed he’d be with the development squad for a bit if he joined.
Nice to see us casting the net a further and signing a bit of a ‘wild card’. Looking forward to seeing him play!

Is the work permit likely to be an issue or no? Just wondering

Nice - we've lacked a bit of pace and someone who can run at players since CBT left. Gives us another option.
