I’m not a betting man - so take what I say with a large dose of salt - but I would have thought, once the squad has been strengthened with the anticipated new arrivals, the odds on promotion might shorten?
I guess if you want longer odds get the money on now.

I’m seriously tempted to put £1000 on us to win the league. I work long days and it’s bloody hard work so that money don’t come easy, BUT…. I just really think it’s our year.

I guess if you want longer odds get the money on now. I’ve put a cheeky pound on CAFC to finish in the top 6, and a further pound on promotion…. I stand to win £8 and will celebrate with a pint and a visit to MaccyD’s… this the way I roll these days!

Remember you can put your money on and then cash out the bet later.
If they've totally underestimated our chances, you'll get a positive cashout.
My own stance however is never to bet on my own team, as the heart will often rule the head.

My own stance however is never to bet on my own team, as the heart will often rule the head. I've had £20 with this in mind. I don't think we'll win the league, but I could see us being up there in the mixer before Xmas time, at which point hopefully our odds will be shorter than 16/1 and there'll be profit to be had.

Ah, pre-season optimism. Top half definitely but there’s 4-5 quality signings needed to win the league, IMO.

TBF we were top half last year with a bang average squad plus Rak Saki We look like we are fishing in a completely different pond this summer and if we continue to be signing or to be linked to the quality of the likes of Hector,May, , Smith,Camara and Nombe then I don’t see why we can’t push for promotion challenge

Obviously we need to replace Rak-Sakyi and await news of Leaburn's return. Perhaps Holden wants to play two up front? Not gonna reinvent last seasons squad as top six but we have let go / sold a large number of players who simply weren't good enough. There are perhaps six slots in our first 18 that require filling ASAP. But I'd be reluctant to state we can transform from a top 10 into a top four side in just one window. Not without seeing who these signings are and seeing how we play once they arrive. We're 5/1 for a reason - is that a value bet? Meanwhile a top six finish pays 9/4.

Personally, I think we’re light once injuries occur.

You would think that Holden Scott and Storrie would factor this in with the recruitment Unlike previous years I don’t think finances will hinder us this season and we will have decent back up reserves to come in when required…. Mcgrandles I think will be an example of this, we definitely haven’t seen the best of him I can see a marquee goal scoring forward to come in to compliment May and Leaburn and a young loan forward as I just don’t know how fit Chucks will be this season With the addition of a couple of attack minded wing backs one on either side I can see a quality squad being put together Let’s not forget there are plenty of bang average sides in this division

There’s a good 4-5 players required still in this side. If the season started tomorrow, I wouldn’t be confident as there’s areas we’re lacking in. If by the end of the window signings have been made I think expectations should be changed.

I will decline for now and maybe bet against when we are in a decent position.

When I last looked we were 3/1! Great to add to an accumulator
