No Alfie May today people so may aswell watch the cricket! If he does sign it will be Sandgaard's call nobody else's. There is no buy now 'pay later' arrangement with the current owner and neither should there be. It could blow the whole takeover out of the sky if it was found that little arrangement existed. The EFL would launch a thorough investigation that could delay the process. They would take a very dim view of any potential inbound owner(s) trying to influence player signings.
Had a very nice conversation with an involved party just now and he assures me we are in very good hands. The investor line-up is strong and goes beyond Friedman and Brener. I have names but wipl not share them while the OADT process is ongoing. It's the same with lots of other info I have to hand but my message to everyone is just relax
It's pointless slagging people off because we haven't signed anyone yet. When we can, we will.

Not based on anything,but I for some reason felt Alfie May would be unvield today.
I know signing players ASAP doesn't guarantee anything,but a proven marksman at this level might convince others that we are potentially on the up.
We will probably get gazumped sadly,but having a 20 goal a season man reportedly wanting to join us made me happy.

I don't get the negativity over Banks. In my opinion there is more chance of us gettingt him on loan than there was of a perm signing.
If he does well he will join full time further on down the line.
I can see him being high on our loan list when we get the green light.
I do wish people will stop panicking though. When this takeover goers through it's not just the owner(s) name that changes. It will also be teh fortunes of our club. There are some serious people on board, some with larger shares than others but between them they have billions of pouns and I'm not talking single figures either. Some seriously wealthy people in the line up.

Sandgaard can sign who he likes but while a takeover is ongoing there are sanctions that prohibit the potential inbound owners from having any involvement.

As outlined before, Banks will be a solid signing. Tbh I always thought it would be a loan. Palace weren’t ever going to release him after his season last year. As for the comparison with Fraser which I think someone kept going on about.. They’re both left footed, the similarities end there.. he will be a great addition to our squad. There will be signings next week I’m sure of it! Pompey the only rivals in our league who’ve made moves so far.

We opted against & renewed Inniss' contract instead. Famewo joined Sheff Wed & got promoted.
It was so blatant how wrong that decision was. Looks like that's now come home to roost.
You can't cut corners.

Famewo made 17 League One appearances in 22-23. Inniss made 36 appearances. Had Famewo been at the club this year and made that amount of appearances, people here would want him sent to the glue factory.
While Inniss wasn’t up to scratch, Famewo wasn’t the answer either. I suspect he’ll be loaned out come January, if he makes it that far.

Until takeover happens I'm not expecting much to happen. I understand Storrie said there is an agreed budget but fully expecting frees and loans (nothing exciting) until takeover completes. Never thought for a second that Sandgaard would fund a team now he's selling. Wages saved through players let go will allow some replacements, but not enough to get us promotion.
Just praying takeover completes in next 2-3 weeks. Need players in soon as to gel. Keeping faith new owner's will make things happen when they take charge and no reason to think otherwise. Just gonna be a while longer yet.
