You know I think I would too. The only manager in our merry go round other than Johnnie Jackson who I liked.

Not for me. A very likeable person but his record at Charlton was a lot worse than NJ's and I believe we were on our way to L2 under his tenure. Whilst you could argue he inherited a poor squad and wasn't backed the same could be said with Jones, who has had to sell our best player to fund what he has and still had the spending plug pulled in July.

Bring back Jacko, only one man for the job. We are like Millwall we only do well with proper Charlton men who get and know the club. In our history, in my lifetime we have only done well with Curbs, Powell and Bowyer. Me and the boys were trying to think who else was ex Charlton and now coaches/manages that could come on board?
Our biggest issue is the players don’t give two shits about the club they are just in it for a weekly wage, win or lose they don’t care (excluding Alex Mitchell, who I believe does care)

I think Dean tried too hard to be everyone’s mate including the team and the fans…….
I think if the Jones press em high…..hit those long 60 yard diagonals and hope for the best football doesn’t produce results and the fella has to fall on his sword I would prefer us bring in a forward thinking recruitment guy who can spot real talent like Peterboroughs and Wycombe recruitment staff…..plus coaching input from someone like Ruben Selles who has got Reading playing decent attractive football on a meagre budget…compared to ours……Surely this should be the way forward….

Completely agree. And we may need to take a risk and bring in someone who is pre Selles in his development. Sourcing the right head coach is probably the key job for a DOF or Technical Director. It’s much easier said than done obviously, but we need to sign and develop good footballers (not necessarily finished articles) and a head coach who adds real value on the training ground. Unfortunately, Nathan Jones has taken us backwards on both counts. I suspect Methven will survive, but Rodwell, Scott and Jones must be on life support.

Mark Robbins is free currently (as I mentioned elsewhere)

How Scott is still in the building is beyond me, he should be the first one to go

How Scott is still in the building is beyond me, he should be the first one to go Scott should have gone long, long ago. Absolute waste of space and money, costing us dearly in a number of ways.

Still don’t understand why he got sacked to be honest. The team needed extra investment at the time.

They were all knackered after 60 minutes. Unbelievably unprofessional. Not just unfit but Holden had insisted on switching to a 5-3-2 that summer when we simply didn't have the wing backs, nor three quality centre backs in the squad. CBT was never a wing back and so we were exposed on the left. At Oxford away we were taken apart. We had been playing a 4-3-3 with Tyreece Campbell, Miles Leaburn and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi up front. Obviously Rak-Sakyi returned to Palace and Leaburn was crocked at the Welling friendly but switching to 5-3-2 wasn't the answer.
