Slow hand clap for Andy Scott for that interview đ€„ 0/10. His arguments contained more holes than Steptoeâs string vest, although I must admit âour squad was too bigâ was a creative one. The only positive I can take from that interview is that Scott has effectively signed both Gallen and Martinâs P45s. The players who were allegedly sitting around and damaging morale were coincidentally the highest paid ones, each and every one contracted by Gallen using analytics by M.Sandgaard. Charlie Methven has already made very clear that Martin Sandgaardâs work isnât good enough, so letâs hope both he andGallen are moved on next week. If nothing else, deadline day was a spectacular admission that scouting and recruitment at the club is rotten to the core. Disagree think Scott interview was very good and 100% correct re-squad why pay wages to players to sit at home on their arses every Saturday makes financial sense ..plus there was a couple of small indications that something happening behind the scenes and that it could be concluded in a week ?? One assumes that you meant not fit to get us to the play-offs again let alone automatic promotion. Many will concur, although personally I rate Clare and Inniss. Here's the thing: Scott and others have shipped many of these players out AND we don't hear a peep from either Gallen nor Martin Sandgaard and yet still you ain't happy... Itâs left us with a disjointed and lop sided squad that the latest manager off the conveyor belt doesnât really want. If you were starting from scratch this Summer, an owner with decent financial clout, he would give Dean Holden a three year deal, appoint Andy Scott full time, and give them autonomy to rebuild the playing side from top to bottom. That is the only way, IMO. A list of duds should then quickly be drawn up, staff and players who are nicking a living off the club and basically either holding us back, or who are unable to perform to a standard that will take us to the next level. Staff and players who must be moved on this Summer, in order of priority -Steve Gallen silenced Martin Sandgaard silenced Chuks Aneke crocked Charlie Kirk gone Jayden Stockley gone Albie Morgan OK on bench Sean Clare ok Jack Payne ? Ryan Inniss ok Sam Lavelle ? D. Jaiyesimi gone From Morgan downwards on that list, the issues are more about ability than attitude and competence. Itâs essential IMO that the top 5 are bombed out of the club this Summer by hook or by crook, they are all a major handbrake on the clubâs chances of ever escaping from League One. Any takeover will accelerate change AND you forgot O'Connell! We can play Championship Manager all day long... Garner secured score draws, same as he did at Swindon... But this interim SMT are making change happen! Next they need to retain the talent with extensions and new deals. And then in June / July add four or five quality players. Good enough to help us back to the top six next season. What we simply don't know is whether there will be new owners in the next few weeks / months, nor whether they will have the vision, financial clout and ability to execute an overnight transformation. |

Scott obviously thinks heâs going to get a permanent contract soon so my question is why would Scott be happy to hang around if he knows thereâs no money. I doubt heâs desperate for a job and certainly not one where his hands are tied by being skint. I think this ties in well with the positive vibes that Reams has hinted at. Not long to wait I would think. It appears a takeover isn't far away , but the big question remains, taken over by whom ? Agreed AS interview comes across as someone who feels they will be around beyond the rolling contract he mentioned. Coupled with the total lack of TS/MS/SG it looks like a changing of the guard? Hopefully sooner rather than later. |

I don't know if this has been mentioned but I can't understand how Martin Sandgaard is getting such an easy ride.
Surely he is the face of the ownership that is here every week and the pressure should be racked up on him.
I'm not advocating physical violence but a bit of verbal could make him wonder why he's there.
He sits in the directors box but that's not out of reach, some fans (wrongly in my opinion) managed to abuse Katrien Meire.
Come on, make him squirm and wish he was anywhere else but The Valley!

I have been surfing the cafc sites for rock solid information over the departure or not of Tommy and his likeable but clearly, quite thick, little boy. Most sites have at least one ITK poster and they all seem to be saying the same thing, that a deal is there, Tommy is keen but awaiting his legal team to approve and squeeze the pips and very soon he will be gone. Obviously they are rumours but the indicators are there.
As a bit of hopeless optimism and based on nothing at all I reckon TS will have sold his interest in the club by end of next week.
He ainât staying that I am sure.

Charlton supporters can be proud of the way they showed solidarity in the face of some very ugly comments on here yesterday. The thread in which the offensive remarks were made has rightly been closed but can we go further and delete it, please?
As seriously red pointed out last night, lardiman's trivilaisation of the Holocaust falls under the recognised definition of anti-semitism and his anti-semitic comments should be deleted from the record for all time, along with the entire thread. He refuses to apologise and has reportedly started up the abuse of those who called him out all over again on Not 606. In doing so he has made himself a pariah and in the name of all that is decent his anti-semitic comments should be deleted so they can never be recalled.
Thanks to reams and all the decent posters who joined me in taking a stand against such toxicity. Perhaps we can now get back to the business of getting Thomas Sandgaard and his bloody banjo out of our club.

That was always the common thought with the CM crowd the only ones willing to keep TS in tow hence the exclusivity business. Maybe the ÂŁ17m, if it is due now, has made a difference and TS has had to rethink his strategy? |

I don't believe for one minute that Lardiman is an anti-semite, but his presence on this forum is always disruptive. At times he seems to lose all sense of perspective and proportionality and then doubles down when challenged. That's what happened last night when he was obviously guilty of very poor judgement and insensitivity. I've lost count of the number of times he's left and then rejoined, but I'd respectfully suggest that his behaviour is unlikely to change.
