Is that red thing our new striker?
Good to see Macca getting some fitness under his belt. Will be a huge player for us this year.

The big disappointment of the summer signings.
I wonder whether the club will decide to move him on in January - he looks like a 15 year old trying to play men’s football.

I'm willing to give him a bit of time. He like Payne, had a limited pre season and has since been injured and only making small cameos.

Juxtaposed with freezing out JFC it appears that they don't fully understand what we need to get a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 firing on all cylinders. There will always be signings that fail to sparkle. Bring back the senior analyst and Thomas Driesen!

Juxtaposed Genuinely thought you’d had an ‘autocorrect’ issue when you wrote that word the other day. Had no idea that was actually an English word. 🤷🏼♂️ Edit: McGrandles looks to be the worst signing of the summer by far. Hopefully he can turn it around. I’m not even clear what type of midfielder he is yet.

I sit behind the dug out and this fella seems a really nice bloke. Probably too nice in fact. Needs to get a bit of an edge about him if he’s going to succeed. Would definitely take Gilbey over him at the moment.

Well he's out for some time now. Luckily we have an ideal replacement in the shape of Jake Forster-Caskey .........Oh! wait a minute!

Hurrah!
In all seriousness though, I hope he plays regularly and hits some form as I've not been impressed so far.

Terrible signing. Another Gallen gem.
Difficult to feel too much sympathy for the boy, given the wages we are rumoured to have paid him.
Joining lowly Cambridge United sort of tells its own story.

This is one of the three they want off the wage bill. Awful signing.

I agree he was not a good signing, but he was injured at Lincoln and wasn't playing and hadn't recvered from it when we signed him. He played a few gamnes then injured himself again.
He was a good player at Lincoln but, clearly, hasn't been anywhere near 100% fit since he arrived at the club.
Hopefully he can regain some fitness then we can see if he is any good in the summer/next season. Then we might be able to get him of the wage bill if we decide that he is not going to play for us.

McGrandles welcome departure also corroborates @dickplumb inside info about experienced / high earners leaving.
Separately, I understand that the new SMT are super keen to get Jayden Stockley off the books before next Tuesday. They think a sale is unlikely, but that a loan is very do-able.

There’s a good player in there but again we paid the price signing an injured player ho never had a proper pre season and then managed to get further injuries. Hope he gets a good run and avoids injuries for the rest of the season.

I think two or three of the higher earners were always going to leave. Given the cost cutting rumours that have been well documented, I think the 'tidying up' process was going to begin with fringe players leaving. I expect Stockley and DJ to follow, possibly Gilbey too. Personally I would bring him back now McGrandles has gone.
