I thought you might say that!! It’s my view too. However, it does expose the fact that we expect the owner to lose money so that we can enjoy our football!! Still, at least we’re honest about it! Unlike CAST, which simultaneously said that it was committed to preserving the club for future generations while signing up to making it unmanageable despite the owner at the time being focused on sustainability!! CAST has zero integrity … the comments from their top man about Bows to Sunderland fans back in August 2018 was the height of disloyalty. Their attitude to RD was populist and geared to the narrative of the one eyed CL mafia. They had no truck with sustainability when it came to RD but now they are sycophants to the word of Pistol Pete. Cast destroy my faith in fan ownership 🤨 |

Poster on CL saying a loan forward and a CB incoming,I'd much rather it was the other way round.An astute loan of a champ CB and a forward to add depth/competition for Stockley on a permanent.
Hoping Simpson wasn't our only Iron in the fire and we have back up options....Mckirdy hopes fading as Hibs are interested.

CAST are not and never have been fit for purpose. They were for the first 15 months - I know because I was there, running the surveys, analytics and building it beyond a few hundred on CL. However, they failed to navigate the Powell sacking in March 2014 with integrity and leadership intact. Not only was the 2012-14 squad shot to pieces but Powell had managed just six league wins from 30 attempts. And he deliberately selected a side for an FA Cup quarter final which simply wasn't the best available: "We ain't playing them network players" was later briefed by both Powell and Dyer after the event. There was a certain G21 meeting followed by an announcement soon after the sacking. More than enough has been written about that but the Trust had ceded all authority... And Riga arrived to deliver a turnaround whilst CL lags actively promoted their hopes of relegation. Populism won out over and above analysis of the CAFC reality. Oh and the CEO Meire pulled all collaboration with CASTrust overnight which led to an immediate halt in membership growth. Having set fire to the Trust's reputation for working with the club and promoting FFP, these people continued to agitate against RD etc. Two years later the Trust was refusing dialogue with CAFC directors - somewhat strange given that the main purpose was to hold a dialogue as well as supporting promoting CAFC! As mentioned above, four years after Powell was sacked the Trust chair was slating Bowyer on the eve of our promotion season FFS! |

We should have gone after a striker the minute we let Washington go.
That was over 3 months ago.
To leave it till the last day of the transfer window when everyone is trying to get a last minute deal done is just plain amateurish.

When he passes and moves he's not a bad player. When he tries to take players on rather than pass to a clearly available team mate and fails every time at it he's an awful player. Sadly Leko was too much the latter and for me not a team player. Keeping a close watch today, but i'm prepared for disappointment. |

I’m not anti Bonne returning on loan. We sold him for fab money but as a loan back with our style of play then maybe worth it

Macauley Bonne is shite.
He’s slower & even more clumsy than Stockley. He’s also a terrible finisher, he makes Conor Washington look like Mo Salah in front of goal.
Can we show some imagination today please, rather than just returning to our usual tried & tested failures.

I will never understand why we triggered an extension to his contract. I can't see any of those clubs paying a fee or matching the wages we've signed him up on. If he was going to play then, fair enough, but otherwise I think this is a big mistake. |
