Massive day for the Sandgaard regime. We don’t want any wet fart excuses about “every club wanted the same player” etc … You, Raelyn, Martin & Gallen have had since May to sign us the players we need to make us credible promotion challengers. You’ve probably left it too late (again) ….get on with it. Why do people think Transfer Deadline Day is today. Its well documented it’s Tomorrow at 11pm Some of us are just thick cunts mate, I had no idea it was tomorrow myself.

Just wish he would hurry up and bring 2 or 3 in. If leave it late we never get the right people in. Tonight's game be a young side as the under 21s fielded 11 eighteen years olds and no kanu Do can see a young side start tonight. 8 under 21 were left out of the side yesterday so will all be involved tonight

jonkoolJust for you, here’s the latest tactical insight from Sven Goran Brent - “We are looking to see if we can create a little more, to stretch the other team’s defence. If we can have someone who can run behind and create confusion and stretch that defence”. I heard that our leader had a BSc … but then I realised I had misheard as the extra c! He sure is top of the class when it comes to BS

Unless we have a replacement lined up, surely this would leave us with very little cover. CBT is injury prone. JRS is an unknown in terms of ability to play week in week out.

From a poster on CL who is usually spot on.
Defender is done, probably announced tomorrow.
Forward is close but as others have said depends on outgoings.
Both good players at this level and improve our squad for sure.

My only concern with the forward is that other clubs at this level are also interested and we are reliant on shifting a player or two to make it happen. Defender on loan Forward is a permanent.

Defender Will Boyle maybe he's free to be loaned out.

I’m going to be really provocative here. I don’t see how we can break even at League One level, but let’s take Sandgaard at his word and assume, for sake of argument, that we can. What then? Why isn’t that a good outcome? Let’s suppose, hypothetically for now, that breaking even in League One means being competitive but staying on the fringes of the race for promotion. That we might make the playoffs every now and again, perhaps winning promotion if we get lucky one year, but that we’re not going to ‘storm’ the League. Further, that promotion to the Championship is likely to be short lived because breaking even at that level means a bottom six wage budget, or worse. In other words, breaking even means spending most seasons in Division One with occasional, short-lived forays into the Championship. How does that work for fans? We’d no longer be dependent on a benefactor and the club might even become fan owned. It would be truly sustainable. Having begun by saying we’d be in Europe within five seasons, Sandgaard now appears to be talking in these terms. Arguably, if makes sense, if it’s deliverable. Is it deliverable though and, if it was, would we want it? No! I thought you might say that!! It’s my view too. However, it does expose the fact that we expect the owner to lose money so that we can enjoy our football!! Still, at least we’re honest about it! Unlike CAST, which simultaneously said that it was committed to preserving the club for future generations while signing up to making it unmanageable despite the owner at the time being focused on sustainability!!

Defender Will Boyle maybe he's free to be loaned out. I remember him playing for Cheltenham at The Valley when we lost 2-1 last season. We were 2-0 down, pulled one back but Boyle was the reason we couldn't equalise. He was immense that day. Good defender. Wonder if we are thinking alomg the lines of Alfie May? He played in that game too.

Ross Barkley to Wycombe? It's as crazy as it sounds, but Gareth Ainsworth spoke about the rumour which has been circulating over the last two days #Chairboys

According to Twitter, the mighty Port Vale have bid for Stockton, which suggests that his asking fee might not be as big as some thought ?
If I was Ben Garner, i would be calling Forster-Caskey, MacGillivray, Gilbey and Jaiyesimi into my office this afternoon, and having an honest conversation with each of them along the lines of “you are not in my plans son, feel free to speak to other clubs’.
That convo will be taking place dozens of times at clubs this week, and really needs to happen with the four mentioned.

Unlike CAST, which simultaneously said that it was committed to preserving the club for future generations while signing up to making it unmanageable despite the owner at the time being focused on sustainability!! That's one interpretation 😀 Another is that we expect the owner to *invest* money AND deliver progress on the pitch such that we challenge for promotion. This in turn leads to far greater revenues and costs in the Championship AND a far higher enterprise value for CAFC. And higher player sales revenue There are basically three models: A: Sustainability with breakeven as the only goal B: Sustainable development with "acceptable" losses each year C: Accelerated development with far higher budgets and losses It's clear that RD was running on model B. Received wisdom and rumours suggest that CAFC BVI were running on C and that there was a crunch point when they recalculated the cost of success in the Championship

You would have hoped that the conversation had taken place at the start of the month, when he was finalising his plans. It's fairly clear that none of them appear to have a future here. If we're still carrying non-playing squad members by the end of tomorrow then it makes it difficult to call it a successful window, especially if it means the non-arrival of the mystery striker. Also worrying that we can't shift the players not wanted by the manager, which may suggest we're asking too much.

Gilbey's exit broke down. We should bear in mind that if the likes of Gilbey and JFC are to go to other clubs with smaller budgets then CAFC will have to make up the difference when cancelling the contract so as to entice the player to go. Given the overall expenses of c.£15M it's a tad strange that there's this dependency between out and final signings at this late stage. Surely it should be all about the Match day squad at this stage - the 16 outfield players Garner picks who will play 95%+ of all the minutes between now and January.

I’m not sure how Sandgaard values things but based on the prices of tickets he is not a stranger to asking for more than something is worth. This is before we factor in his medical business where he sells Tens Machines for c. $200 that can be bought over the counter for £20 in the UK. As 11pm, tomorrow, gets closer there will be more and more blinking and deals will suddenly start to get done when people realise that actual value of what they are selling. We just have to hope that it is not too late by then!

Given our injury record over the past few years, some of these frozen out players could find themselves back in the first team picture later this season.

Also 29, so doesn't really fit who we've gone for so far. Chances on him having much of a sale value in the coming years would be very slim.

That said Paul Mullin would be my main man. Championship striker scoring for fun in the National League.

I have absolutely no idea who is worth buying selling loaning or what. But I do know I shell out an extortionate amount of wedge on cafc that could be better spent on alimony or feeding my dog and that tight arse has not spent a penny on the team for months.
Just facking buy someone Tommy and stop the tyre kicking.
