Muddled thinking as in we should have kept him from going on loan, and made a new striker our No.1 priority instead. Probably best to watch another couple of games in case Plymouth was a one off, but why another striker?! We now play 4-3-3 every game and we have seven players for the front three, albeit that includes Aneke. Fact is that Stockley is no. 1 choice for central striker role right now whilst Leaburn is getting roughly 20 minutes every game. Can see that might increase over time, and one day he starts due to injury, suspension or loss of form. For me, the worry is what happens if Stockley missed six games again this season. No doubt Aneke won't be fit during that time and if Leaburn isn't ready to step up we are struggling in games that could be worth eighteen points. I don't think the wingers, or wide forwards, are suited to the central role. I've written Aneke off, to be honest. I suspect he will come off the bence a few times and change games but I'd be surprised if his contribution will be enough for us to rely on him if Stockley is unabvailable. Having Stockley play after he's been sick (whcih someone suggested happened) is outragious.

Having JFC and Aneke on the books still is ludicrous. Such poor management from whoever made those decisions.

Huddersfield are leading race to sign Tyreece Simpson from Ipswich. Fee already agreed between the clubs, but now personal terms last hurdle 🏴 #transfers
Two other clubs waiting to react, as Simpson was ranked in top 5 English U21 in Goals last season across top four divisions.

This sounds like it's defence rather than attack BG wants to improve

Part of me doesn't like Ben Garner and the reason for that is his treatment of Gilbey, I think it's disgusting and detrimental to the squad leaving him out.
He also comes across as a bit of a fan of Inniss. He may have played well at Sheffield Wednesday but the goal we conceded was his fault, only an idiot would think otherwise.
For me he and Stockley do not fit the system and it has everything to do with their height and the lack of speed getting to the ball from a standing position.
Said it earlier and I repeat Sam Lavelle must be really fucked off with hearing this news.
That said we have three CB'S in the squad currently who will not score goals. You need five goals each from your Centre backs and ours are nowhere near that.

Neither Stockton or Tshimanga started yesterday. If Simpson is out of contention, I'd get both and sell Stockley.

We still have some loan slots. I’d like us to see if we can get some prem / champ young talent in. Plymouths first two goals yesterday were down to their loaner’s from Norwich and Villa.
In previous years we literally relied on loans to make up our squad. We don’t have that issue now, but we can use them to add a splash of talent (take a risk) here and there.

Having gone to the game yesterday I have to agree with REAMS. Inniss and Stockley do not fit this system at all. If we are serious about promotion this season then we need a left sided defender a pacey striker and an attacking midfielder as minimum. Hopefully by shipping out a few who are not in Garners plans we can achieve this otherwise we ain't going anywhere.

Fraser had that role yesterday and played it quite well. Sure Kirk could do the job if we go for a pacy front three.

At least with the loan he could be recalled. I still think he's better than McGrandles and Morgan.

#CAFC one of the teams who have reportedly been interested in Lincoln City winger Anthony Scully.
The 23 year-old winger scored 11 goals and contributed 7 assists last season.

Sheffield Wednesday have a decent owner who has ambition to get out of L1 this season.
What a contrast.
So sick of reading the time buying bullshit about McKirdy.
Swindon wanted only £150,000 for him six weeks ago.
