Had it from a former Crewe player. It may be a Crewe return on loan in a bid to getting him playing well again in the hope we can at least get back much of what we paid for him but at least one other NW club interested.

So much for signing players based on our in house analytics. That said he isn't the first and won't be the last belly flop under the Sandgaard/Gallen set up.

The brutal truth is none of them are good enough … Kirk moving south during a pandemic shortly after his father’s bereavement has proved too heavy a burden.
But our recruitment and then mid season change in shame hasn’t done us any favours.
There’s far too much dysfunction at many levels in SE7.

On the pitch over 90 minutes and between games. Why we live it. One can argue that Purrington and Jaiyesimi have looked fairly convincing at wing back. But absolutely no cover on the left. Suspect there will be many changes to the squad now and over the summer. But whether we come through better remains to be seen. |

I wouldn't have signed Kirk and then brought in two other wingers after his arrival if that satisfies your question?
Kirk is a young lad who arrived at Charlton with the world on his shoulders having just lost his Dad and left the area that he grew up in.
The best remedy for him to help take his mind of it was playing football and allowing him to forget his personal life for 90 minutes and allowing express himself on the football pitch, it may have been his only escape from what was going on around him but he wasn't given the opportunity in my opinion and that is poor man management from Adkins and everyone else at the club who should have been supporting the lad.
Maybe we should try playing him in a position from where he provided those assists for starters eh? Why spend 500k on a player then decide to play a system that doesn't suit him? It's like signing Cole Stockton from Morecambe and playing him at left back!!
