Defoe is cheap, just like the way the club is being run.
I can’t see us paying any significant transfer fees. Frees and loans.

Lots of people waiting for your response on the other thread, as seems to be taking a long time.

Strange one for me. Neither Leko, Jaiyesimi or Corey Blackett Taylor have impressed in that position and I don't think Kirk has been given the chance.

Glad we're only thinking about loaning him out rather than selling at this stage

Glad we're only thinking about loaning him out rather than selling at this stage Is that because nobody will pay £500,000 and meet the wages, that he is on, and he has a 4 year deal?.

Sums up everything that's wrong at the club for me this. The way it's being run is rotten to the core. We have three dreadful wingers keeping Kirk out yet he's the one Championship clubs are interested in! Rather than put him in our team we seem to prefer advertising him in the shop window for someone to offer us near to what we paid for him. How about offloading the rubbish that plays in his position and giving the lad a game or is it a case of Sandgaard needing some much needed dosh? It was Sandgaard himself who said we want to bring in young players and develop them!!

I think a move to Blackpool is dependant on them selling a player to Nottingham Forest

Fingers crossed we don't loam him out and he gets a place in the team.

I see no point in signing Defoe

Charlie has the capacity and stats to suggest he would be better than the three wingers that we have put together, but not if he doesn’t get game time. If he goes on loan and starts to show the form he is capable of then another club will buy him, possibly a Championship one. TS will probably get his money back or more and we will lose a very good player that could help us next season and one that could make the step up to the Championship.
It doesn’t make sense to send him out on loan, give him game time now until the end of the season and try to get the lads confidence back. After all, he has had a lot on his plate since joining the club.

Young prem kid? Or experienced player? I know which one I'd prefer, loans can be good, but would much prefer we started adding players to our squad for going forward.

RB coming in on loan from Tottenham, What a total waste of time. No offence to the lad,I hope he comes in and tears it up,but not really what we need,if Bolton end up landing Dempsey for 100k that's the sort of signing we should be after.

RB coming in on loan from Tottenham, What a total waste of time. Could make sense if it's with a view to buy, especially if Gunter and Matthews leave at the end of the season.

Marcel Lavinier is name being linked Just watched an online video of him playing at left back and based on what I saw that can't possibly be his position. He looked awful but had all the hallmarks of a Charlton player. Loves playing it sideways and backwards and knows where the stands are for his clearances. His crossing doesn't beat the first man so a perfect fit. That said I turned the page and saw this clip where he looks a tad better in his natural position of RB. Still don't see the point though.

This is the not so clever version of him but like I said he can't be a LB based on how often he uses his right foot.
