This is the not so clever version of him but like I said he can't be a LB based on how often he uses his right foot. It says he’s a right back on his profile

Marcel Lavinier is name being linked www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9227777/Marcel-Lavinier-speedy-right-joined-Spurs-October-nabbed-Chelsea.htmlNot exactly what we need but could be good if it means we have a chance of purchasing or maybe loan next year (like Jay DaSilva). Straw clutching I know... Or maybe a case of if we do well with this player, then it'll open up options for other Spurs players in the future. Arsenal - did well with Song, Coquelin, Bielik. Matt Smith didn't work, didn't get Azeez or John-Jules. Chelsea - Dasilva worked, Gallagher worked but club was a joke so was removed. WBA - Leko and Field injured. Question marks over training intensity and medical department. Man City - Smith didn't work. Man Utd - Levitt didn't work. No Prem loans. No £££ so shopping in the discount section before the shops shut. Just a thought...

RB coming in on loan from Tottenham, What a total waste of time. Another possibility is we're switching formation and need a right back who isn't Welsh as Jackson is allergic to daffodils and leeks. If changing formation, it makes the Kirk signing and dumping even stranger, particularly as our current other wing options are struggling for form.

Another kick in the balls for Kirk then? Madness. Gallen and Sandgaard are a pair of fucking clueless pricks.

What if Kirk has said he wants to leave to move back north as he is unsettled? No one knows the Kirk situation and what's going on behind the scenes.

Looks like the end of Gunter and Matthews? Think it's so important to look and transitioning the squad now, bedding in players and the system, rather than waiting until July.

Marcel Lavinier is name being linked Chris Powell is Head of Coaching at Tottenham and oversees the U17-U23s. Honestly can't imagine him wanting to send us a dud. Also, interesting article here www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/dilan-markanday-conte-tottenham-blackburn-22786732 talking about the state of Tottenham's academy and the lack of opportunities for youth players. "What Dilan Markanday's Tottenham transfer exit means for young players under Antonio Conte The 20-year-old winger departed Tottenham with just a few minutes of football under his belt but what does that mean for his academy team-mates?" "The problem for Tottenham is a lack of academy players really banging down the door and demanding to be given a chance. However, Markanday could argue that he was knocking that door off its hinges but no more than a fleeting chance ever came." So I'm clutching my straws that whatever player comes from Spurs will hopefully not be a donkey and we might have a chance to make a loan deal permanent in the future.

Castillo has only managed to feature three times for Birmingham this season.
Apparently TS not willing to stump up £150,000 for Dempsey, so he could well be off to Bolton.

We should be preparing for next season not giving out trials to EPL youngsters while involved in a relegation fight. What part of that don't you understand? Totally gormless.

I agree we should be preparing for next season by buying for the future, but in turn we are nowhere near safe yet so need to strengthen to confirm we are at least in this league at a minimum. Our current form is poor and things need to be improve soon.
I don't mind us bringing loans at this stage as long as they strengthen and we are not signing duffs like the Matt Smiths we have previously got.
Personally someone like Dempsey is someone we should invest in. Midfield leaders for me are a priority. Dobson has been great, Lee is dipping in form but still good to have around. I really like Gilbey but sometimes his style doesn't work so we need to change things up so need options and we can't just be waiting for JFC to come back or for Morgan to actually be the player some claim him to be. I don't hate Morgan, I just don't see him as this wonderful player so many others see.
Soure is poor so we need someone else down that side. I like purrington but we need options. JJ seems to prefer Clare to Matthews at right back which is strange, but he started well but is dipping in form so a replacement there is useful too.
I'd much prefer permanent signings but it's possible we are just being priced out. Sandgaard is not a bottomless pit of money and don't think he's ever claimed to be. Mistakes have been made with recruitment but hopefully he'll learn from that.

With all due respect, he was playing for the Scottish Champions - the stand out team with the best players, in a division of teams that, excluding Celtic, would be in a relegation dogfight in League One, maybe even League Two. I suspect that I would have scored a few goals for Rangers if I'd played for them last season. Don't get me wrong, Defoe was a very good striker, he was worth his England Caps and played at the top level for many years. We just can't extrapolate from Rangers, with internationals, to Charlton with an average thrid division squad, at best.

I confess that I really don’t understand this. It’s obvious that if we want to play 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 we need the right players and that this includes better options at wing back.
However, unless the club genuinely believes there is a chance of promotion why spend money (I doubt the players are free even if heavily subsidised) developing somebody else’s players while almost certainly p***ing off our own, Jaiyesimi and Purrington in this case? For the record, we’re 80-1 to win promotion on Sky Bet. I know that positive thinking is essential, but so is realism.
I fear there’s an element of desperation about this. It certainly doesn’t look as if we’re preparing for next season or even trying to enhance the value of players we might want to move on. Perhaps in some bizarre blend of current strategy with that seen in days of yore, Thomas Sandgaard is planning to offer fans (those who haven’t already bought tickets) the opportunity to watch the Premier League stars of the future for free?!

We all want CAFC to play well AND deliver two points per game next season. It's very clear that some players whose contracts expire June 2022 don't feature. It's also clear that there are gaps in the squad. Why not fill those gaps now so as to develop the side even if players are "only" on loan and might not return next season? This is part of a wider challenge given that any of our stronger performers might attract bids. As posted before, players at our level have ambitions to play in the Championship as contracts there set one up for life. Therefore the Valley will always be a venue to see stars of the future... but one day we might see a promotion winning side? As for what we might actually see this February? No idea!

If we are relegation candidates as a lot of people on here suggest, surely any move to improve the team to avoid that fate is to be welcomed.

More proof that Gallen can't possibly be watching these players if the lad has only played three games all season.
