Thanks for posting auckland, great summary.
The key graphic for me was where it outlines how Kirk puts the ball on the plate for strikers, often assisting within 10 yards to allow for tap ins. I really do think lots of Kirk's game is reliant on a compatent LB. Let's hope that's next on the agenda.

Can't recall RD getting thanks for signing Cullen & Bielik to be honest. It's all too lovey dovey for me. Let's get promoted then thank him. It doesn't always have to be an RD vs TS contest mate, he's paid the £500k release, offered enough wages to keep Kirk here on the same terms for 4 years - I don't think it's beyond the pale to thank him for putting his money where his mouth is - plenty of cheaper options out there we could have gone for.

Don't know too much about him, but this seems and feels like a really good signing in a position we desperately need to fill. Judging by what I have read about him, we need to sign a LB that likes to get forward to compliment him.

Good young prospect and sell on value it’s a coup because he can play level higher than this few more good additions and we will be ok need the depth of some of the other sides Nigel knows what’s he’s doing

I felt a lot of the hatred for Roland was either for the sake of it, or for his earlier behaviours and he put many of them right, but getting us promoted in 2019 was just taking us back to where we were when he took us over, so we hadn't progressed under him. Those two were also loan players.
Under Roland though we did let a lot of good players go. A lot.
Maybe our 2018-19 budget was partly paid from the money we'd accumulated from sales of players like Ademola Lookman.

I'd like to see a goalscorer who is good at running into holes and connecting first time there to score. I felt Aneke was a player who could do that.
With that kind of player and the right kind of play we'll get goals, and then it's really ensuring we have decent back-ups in case players get injured.
Probably need a proper left-back too but a loan would do for that.

Half a bar on a young talent is a serious statement. Still, doesn't mean much unless we correct the weak links. Need full backs capable of crossing the half way line to really make this system effective. Matthews can maybe be that guy but Gunter is never going to get on the overlap. Purrington has a great engine but can't pass or cross a ball. |
