Maybe he isn’t quite as good as we thought ,if he’s settled for that level , it will be interesting to see how well he does there’s.
Regarding the winger / full back , I thought Marshall could cover that role , and we wanted an out and out striker for for competition for Taylor and Grant .

Not that I particularly rate him, but is Igor out for the season?

Not that I particularly rate him, but is Igor out for the season? He’s out for a few more weeks, I believe. Although he dislocated a shoulder like Cullen did, apparently the damage was more serious and took longer to heal. May be back by the end of Feb?

I hope our season doesn’t end at the end of February Our season will just be starting in February! A midfield of Cullen, Aribo, Williams and Bielik plus a front pairing delivering 40+ goals this season suggests that it's going to be quite a run-in. We still need one or two more as we are seriously exposed to injury in certain areas.

A striker for the bench must be a priority , having RHF as our saviour if we are behind is hardly illuminating....
Has anyone heard why Ajose wasn’t on the bench...? Did he travel...?

A striker to put real pressure on our current first choice front two is a must. Anyone who watched A Grant’s two limp attempts at his one on ones knows he needs to be pushed hard to progress or move aside.

That said he worked extremely hard and ran all afternoon. Best game I have seen him have for us. Should have come home with the matchball though.

I looked straight at Taylor after KAG's missed one on one from the poor back pass. He was telling him to calm down/slow down and don't rush it. Could tell after the penalty Taylor was over the moon for him... He's learning from a top quality striker and is only 21 in his first proper season. Hopefully more of those chances will find the back of the net sooner rather than later.

Lyle seems like a really nice guy who wants to help everyone around him.

No Ajose on the bench and the gaffer confirmed he was fit but not selected.
Chances are Bows in bringing in a striker and Ajose on the way out!

I agree he did work hard and the third one on one when he got clattered I feel he made a decent effort. I’m not knocking any of the players, it was a valuable and exciting away win. I just feel we are still not quite the finished article, maybe training will sort that problem ? Incidentally I saw you talking to the new keeper yesterday, was that just an introduction or did you glean any information from your brief exchange ?

I'd be sorry to see Marshall go if it is him as he always contributes when he comes off the bench. He no doubt feels that he needs to play more regularly though.

Nobody else will be coming in unless we can shift a couple of players. That is why Gallen said we need to let the dust settle. What he really means is we need to shift a couple. Personally I would pay up Vetokele's contract. He has been a big drain on the Clubs finances for very little return. But with the Takeover situation as it is I can't see it happening.

I know Chris from his Wrexham days, I just welcomed him to Charlton and wished him all the best. LB has a bit of a problem now as Phillips made a cracking point blank save yesterday and was pretty solid all game to be honest but Maxwell is far too good to sit on the bench and hasn't come here to do that.

Agree again, although I do feel the save with his foot was as much luck as judgement but all in all he had a solid game. It was as actually quite interesting sitting as close as I was and hearing him talking with his defenders.

Talking of another Chris I understand that you met my m8 Ketts yesterday. He mentioned how tall you were and so you must have dwarfed him m8 😉
