A decent signing, if he does the business then perhaps another 12 months next season. An interesting read in the newsshopper. At the end of it, the only conclusion that I came to, was that the poor girl is out of her depth and just doesn't get it and probably never will. Total embarrassment on her behalf.

Two years too late for me Although it's a good job Charlton didn't sign him two years ago; that was the season he spent six months out injured!!!

You're right Reams, we haven't got him at his prime. Still, a better option than the young kids who've had to fill in. Not a bad signing but I don't think he'll be amazing either.

Needs an op Andy, out for two months but don't think we'll see him back until next Easter to be honest.

I see they mentioned hes in hospital Tuesday night, makes you wonder why it took so long for him to be diagnosed, or did he aggravate an already existing injury when he played against Huddersfield, ( think that was his last game ??) With that in mind it must mean he was put at risk in that game carrying an injury !

If he's fit he must be way better than not having Igor... We'll see how much Watt wants to fight for a space..playing off Big Mak could be useful...as ever, he needs the midfield to create chances...

Yes, he was injured in Oct 2013 (dislocated shoulder, I think) and didn't return to the WHU side until April 2014, when he made one appearance as a sub. The following season, 2014-15 , he made just five appearances for WHU, most of them as a sub, and then went to Akhisar in Turkey , for whom he made 5 starts and 9 further appearances as a sub. Don't think he has played this season, so since October 2013, he's started something like 7 or 8 games and come off the bench in another 12 or 13.

Is his career almost over or has gone backwards in the last 18 months too? He means Jobi McAnuff, another WHU old boy who will be unveiled on Monday. I think he's big mates with Jason Euell, so the signing can probably be chalked down to him. It was also Euell who got Ade Lookman promoted to the first-team squad, so I think it's encouraging (i) that JE is making his mark and (ii) that Karel Fraeye is prepared to take his advice. After the terrific performance and clever formation v Shef Wed, four points from the Birmingham and Ipswich games with Vaz Te and McAnuff making an impact off the bench would go a long way towards convincing supporters that the Fraeye/De Corte/Euell triumvirate is capable of delivering a comfortable mid-table position.

Ricardo Vaz Te is eager to get on the goal trail for the Addicks
"I’ve only played one season in the Championship before. I did very well and I’d love to replicate that here.
"Charlton was always a difficult place to come but now I’m looking forward to playing for the club."

Old man still doesn't get it.

Old man still doesn't get it. Sorry, pal. You've lost me. Who is the old man and what is there not to "get"? Sorry mate I disagree, what's the point of Meire telling us that we are going to be spending millions on a new academy so that youngsters of the future can be brought through when all it takes is Jason Euell to have a word in the 'managers' ear? As for Mcanuff, he's 34, out of a job and being helped out by a mate.....I think we need a bit more than that. We are like Blackpool off the pitch and getting like them on it too, we'll end up with more has been's than CAST at this rate..
