Will we start our rebuilding earlier or wait until what happens with Gomez and go from there?
Can we stick to the rumours and signings in here, any suggestions or players you would like to see please put in the other thread that is open.

Would have thought Luzon already has placed a list of probables and possibles to RD for early action in the market, however, until Gomez and Fox situations are resolved, RD will hold fire, hope it's not until the last days of August again before he gets his wallet out and shows his intentions. .........

Last season the retained list was confirmed in May with just Dervite, Poyet and Hamer left with outstanding offers...and then players like Vetokele started arriving in June. Assuming rumours are true and the club is focussed on stepping up / retaining Gudmundsson then ideally new players arrive in June or July. Our friendly vs Liege will be interesting as we might give them a game this time?!

Gudmundsson has set his stall out to RD so fingers crossed we'll bring in the right players to tempt him. You will all recall what I said after my meeting with Katriene in the hospitality suite at Cardiff and having heard what she had to say I can honestly see Johann putting pen to paper over the summer given that he wants to see the clubs ambition match his. www.newsshopper.co.uk/sport/charlton/12930858._/

The incoming players on your list VV are nowhere near as good as the outgoing players.
My opinion is:
Joe Garner- PNE- Transfer
Nathan Oduwa- Spurs- Loan Frederic Bulot- Standard Liege- Permanent Deal
Jay Emmanuel Thomas- Bristol City- Free Jamie Ward- Derby- Free
Liam Moore- Leicester- Transfer
If we are loaning players from Spurs then it has to be Deli Ali and Alex Pritchard who I am told we are very interested in.

I have them both all day long ,I have been watching Dale Ali progress spurs from what I understand are going to play him in the first team next season ,people I work with are very close to Levy and from what I gather Ali will be brought in slowly but is highly rated by all the management a future England star? Pritchard is far the best player in the championship I think if we get both of these players we will be a strong force next season without a doubt.

Volgens @sportvoetbal praat Ilombe Mboyo (KRC Genk) met Charlton Athletic over een mogelijke overgang. bit.ly/1cMI0nW#CAFC #Krcgenk

KRC Genk talk to Charlton Athletic on a transfer of ilombe mboyo. Mboyo is halfway through his expensive contract in Genk and played more often than not.
Ilombe mboyo (28) arrived in August 2013 and came to Genk in the past two seasons in not even half of the matches kick-off. Injuries put him continuously on the side. In 2015 he played a minute.
In the Cristal Arena were early big question marks behind the high transfer fee - between 4 and 4.5 million - which Genk had paid to AA Gent. In February 2014 gave the then technical director Gunter Jacob for the first time that Mboyo's transfer from the beginning had retained a risk. "The medical tests showed that if the rhythm of training and competition would rise and the risk that he could get injured. That calculated risk suit you than," Jacob said.
His best period knew Mboyo during play-off 1 of last season: in the ten matches he took action. Five times in a row even as basic player, something he no other time came in Genk. His goal production was best for the winter this season. Eight times he scored, an average which - he might have kept it - now he would have been at the top of the top scorer list. Despite four and a half months without playing a single minute he's always been trefzekerste Genk this season.
Judging by the norms and values story of Dimitri De Condé upon his appointment as technical director, there seems to be little future for Mboyo play in Genk. He was 28 recently, costing his club around one million euros per year and still has two years of contract. He lifted Genk over the past two years not to great performances, and certainly not to praise all. The chances of him that will happen seems rather small. Both by his stature and the fact that he is already two years little train and play, partly because of his age.
Possibly Charlton Athletic provides a way out. The English team owner Roland Duchâtelet talks with Genk on a transfer of the attacker.

Heard about this last week and it was said then that Genk want to do a swap deal for Igor De Camargo. www.sport.be/nl/jupilerproleague/nieuws/article.html?Article_ID=728312Roland Duchatelet wants to get ilombe mboyo to Sclessin. If small change he wants to use Igor De Camargo. In itself a weird deal, but according to Het Laatste Nieuws do a deal where everyone seems to have benefit. ilombe mboyo made themselves impossible at the Cristal Arena. He worked on December 21, his last game for the Limburg off. Mboyo is 2 seasons under contract at Genk. He came over from AA Gent as many as 4 million. Igor De Camargo then alive again at odds with the Liege board. The former international was first allowed to negotiate with Al-Arabi , but when push came to shove De Camargo could never leave. The striker saw so many pennies disappear. De Camargo even refused to train for several days. Previously played the Belgian Brazilian from 2000 to 2005 for Racing Genk .

Should add that is fella has an attitude problem not to mention a convicted rapist so I hope this is just gossip.
Born in Kinshasa, DR Congo, Mboyo played youth football for Anderlecht and Club Brugge before going to prison when he was 17 for his part in a gang rape of a 14 year old child in 2004. Mboyo was a member of one of the most notorious street gangs in Belgium.
While in prison, Mboyo trained with Charleroi, joining the club after his release. He joined Kortrijk on loan in May 2010, a deal which was made permanent in September 2010. He moved to Gent in January 2011.
He quickly became an important player for Gent and even received the captain's armband and his first call-up to the Belgian national team in October 2012. Two months later, however, he became the talk of the town after the game against Waasland-Beveren. Mboyo missed a carelessly taken penalty and provoked his own supporters after being booed. The club forced him to apologize for his behaviour and youngster Hannes van der Bruggen became the new captain.
I trust Dick Plumb won't be pleased at all if this fella signs given his opinion on Ched Evans.

www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieuws/lees/2015-05-12/dit-wordt-de-nieuwe-club-van-mboyo this site confirms it as a done deal, though it has not been the most reliable site transfer wise over the past years imho. He always reminds me of Balotelli, sometimes brilliant sometimes a complete and utter dick head. You don't hear from him from months and when you see him on TV you think: 'ah ye he is still alive'. And then he dominates a few games to disappear again for months.

I only have online records of his scoring and assists but going by them he seems like. A very good player, and the type of player that we are looking for. Going by these articles we've already signed him. Think it's a big moral decision but given the the belgian FA called him up it may be time we also forget his past and hopefully get a good player out of it.

This is solely based on footballrumours so more than likely completely false but we are apparently after Yussuf Poulsen from Leipzig. Big CF with a half decent scoring record.

Let's stop with the bs. He's done his time. Frankly there's plenty of people who have done worse than him who are in our government..... The only question mark raised is how much we're willing to spend on him. I think the money could be spent better.
