Hi all, first post... Judging by Bulot's last retweet it looks like he could have someone looking into houses in London. Think he would be a great addition for us if we are to push on next season.

Welcome to ITTV imacharltonfan, I agree Bulot looks likely to stay but not so sure about Buyens.

Thanks for the welcome. Buyens is a good player especially with the penalty record he has, however maybe a better option would be to have a more attacking CM alongside Cousins.

At the sponsors dinner Buyens said he has a year left on his contract and expected Roland wanted to recoup some of his outlay. This means he's not coming to us as Roland wouldn't get anything from it.

I don't get it? Going down the Michael Morrison route for a player who is 321 years old?
The type of signing that will reduce the gates to 12,000 and under which WILL happen unless decent players are brought in..

Bulot, Gudmundsson and Buyens all have a year left. So they either extend their deals or move on. I really hope we secure two out of three because we only have about eight or ten top performers including them. They are all in the prime of their careers and will want an increase to stay. Our budgets have to accommodate this if we are to build for next season.

Lewis Buxton I imagine will be cover at full back behind solly, had a strong finish to the season Derby and ipswich were both interested so we moved early, not ideally the type of player we were all expecting but as defensive cover what you would expect in my opinion. Not great but not bad either

The Chris Solly of 12 months ago was an awesome player but he is half the player he was though Brett so we need a player to push him for his place not to cover him, just because he came from the academy it shouldn't be a given that he plays every week.

You are right there mate seemed to fall off a bit maybe a full pre season can recapture that form that we all know he is capable of producing, to be fair to Buxton he was injured a lot last season and has a wealth of experience at this standard and I believe he could do a decent job for us there

Charlton and Standard Liege or shall we just say Roland Duchatelet and Katriene Meire are both interested in highly rated midfielder Sofiane Hanni from Mechelen.
This lad has done well this season and his ten goals from midfield have helped the 9th placed club reach the Europa League play-offs where they will face Sporting Charleroi.

He'll go to Caen or Reims....I hope so anyway, not good enough for Championship football.

I laughed at this earlier when I stumbled across it.
Whoever this bloke is all he's done is based that list on rumours off the internet....there is no substance in any of them at all, some of the names are as laughable as it gets in terms of being any good, Cyriac for example is shite, there are others on there who would not get a game in L1!!.

Completely agree would be a huge backward step for the club if true!

Not sure what the whole statement said but from what I translated it looks like Brugge have signed Hans Vanaken, don't know if he was ever a solid rumour but he came up on here on multiple occasions.

Has there actually been any genuine links so far? Everything I've seen has been disproved within days. Pretty weird considering I remember us being relatively active already at this point last season.

Pretty weird considering I remember us being relatively active already at this point last season. I think last season we only had about eight players left once the released list was announced. KM said they looked at about 25 players but it was hard to recruit until Vetokele and Gudmundsson signed. This time we are in a better place but I'd prefer to see deals done in June not August. As for rumours, I like to hear who we are chasing but prefer a clean deal over the line with no noise.

I never read into anything unless there are quotation marks.
