CharltonBoy this was my point about Ched Evans but got shot down. I would prefer Evans than the lad from Belgium wouldn't you?

I dunno mate o wouldn't really want both, but If you made me pick probably evans. Obviously the whole idea of doing a jail term is lost with some. Being called a c*nt and a nonce lover on the facebook group for saying he's done his time. I even said I didn't want him here. Reams you're 100% right, some of our fans are moronic wankers.

Personally the information I have to hand is that Genk want to do a swap deal with Standard Liege for Igor De Camargo.
In my opinion this bloke comes cross as another El Hadji Diouf and I don't want to see him at Charlton, he's a trouble maker and likes being involved in controversy.

Theres no chance Mboyo will come in without causing huge, unneeded fuss from the fans, and its not worth it forget about him and move onto another player because the fuss isnt worth it imo!

Looks like it was featured in the mail today, and there is already a petition with over 2,000 signatures against us signing him (not started by a charlton fan, but by a 'radical feminist? ') Olly Groome has pretty much came out and said we aren't signing him though. Whether he'd actually know or if he's just minimising the bad PR I don't know.

Well as I said yesterday Harry the only news I am aware of regarding Mboyo is a possible swap between him and De Camargo at Standard Liege.

Saw a quote on twitter, didn't say who from but it said we are not interested in Mboyo and he is 'absolutely not on our radar'.

I'm surprised you say it's good news, as you were against the protest of Evans?

I'm surprised you say it's good news, as you were against the protest of Evans? I think Reams means " Good News " purely on footballing terms ?

I did ashaddick yes, not a prolific goalscorer at all so best avoided.
obcafc I would love us to sign Ched Evans because of his ability. Anything else I'll leave to the people who own the club.

I see that Rodolph Austin has been released by Leeds and despite being 29 years old he is a good player in my opinion.

Like I told you earlier this week KM is in Belgium this week talking to a player so there is every chance that is is Cyriac. Anderlecht want to sell him because they are lining up a move for former Standard Liege hero Imoh Ezekiel from Al-Arabi. youtu.be/A1wM5Kowu_4

Would he last in the champ do you think?

Whilst I admit to knowing nothing about this guy and for all I know he could be the next Messi ( we can but dream ) a quick glance at his profile shows him as 5ft 8in. Is it just me who thinks that we could do with a good old fashioned lump of a centre forward to act as a foil to an already vertically challenged attacking front line ?

But it would be nice to have that option on the Bench.

Ash I think Luzon is looking for a lump, he's stated that before and we'll probably bring two strikers in

Roland Duchatelet is an admirer of Belgian striker Hans Vanaken and I think that Lokeren WILL be approached during the summer.

Roland Duchatelet is an admirer of Belgian striker Hans Vanaken and I think that Lokeren WILL be approached during the summer. I sincerely hope that you are right Reams and we do make a bid for him. One of Europes leading lights at the moment, a very talented young man. My only fear is that other clubs are interested,(Prem League and Bundesliga)and his transfer fee is quoted as £5.28. If Roland could get him, then there would be no doubt about his future intentions for CAFC. Come on Katrien use your charm.

I think I remember that name from last summer reams, if I remember rightly though wasn't he the one that cost €8m? Also I always see him listed as a midfielder.

I think I remember that name from last summer reams, if I remember rightly though wasn't he the one that cost €8m? Also I always see him listed as a midfielder. He is indeed a midfielder, one that sees and plays 'football', he reminds me a lot of Jari Litmanen. A tad bit slow for the absolute top, but definitely one of Belgians most promising talents. But while I wish you and Charlton obviously the very best (players), I'm afraid the chances are slim that he will sign. The guy is very down to earth, the big money ain't a motive at all (yet). More so cause his father had a pretty long career in the Belgian prime division (with mediocre clubs). The both of them are well aware of what his next move should be in his career. Being able to compete in Europe and play in a bigger/harder league is what they have said to be a priority. He prefers himself Belgium/Holland/Germany, but top 5 / top 7 club in France would work as well for him. The Lokeren president charges 2 extra legs when Anderlecht/Club Brugge want to buy one of his players, so I don't see that happen either. So most likely it will be a club half way in the Bundesliga or PSV/Ajax. I don't really see him playing in the UK, he isn't the kind of player that shines over there imo. The more because some Belgian players recently sort of buried themselves in the Championship (yes I'm aware most Belgian clubs would have a hard time in your league, but that is not what I'm talking about, it's about the lack of press coverage over here, the whole perception,... tldr being out of the picture). And in (very) near future he is definitely a contender to get a spot in the Belgian squad if something happens with the main players on the midfield. The main point I'm trying to make is basically that I don't think it's wise for a player of his age/with his talent to play in league 2 in the UK, while he also has the chance to play champions league with PSV/Ajax or play the Uefa cup with a team from Germany/France. Meanwhile I do think the Championship is a big step up for most Belgian players.

I would love that to be true but to make it happen you need 15 or 16 players who can play pretty football and that aint going to happen at Charlton any time soon.

Dunk is a good player but not a regular goalscorer which we need from central midfield.
