Not really interested in the game tbh.
As long as we don't pick up any injuries and then get 3 points Saturday against Orient I'll be happy.

Gives the 2nd string / fringe players a chance to prove themselves or gain fitness at this stage. Also helps generate some prize money if we do well. |

I think the team NJ puts out which will be made up of players that need minutes will be well competitive enough…..I would suggest it will be AMB, Watson, Zac Mitchell, Jones, REG, Small, Taylor, Anderson, Berry, Kanu, Adhadme……with Aneke getting decent minutes as well….hopefully Godden will be fit enough to feature as well….. |

Got my ticket for this and am really looking forward to it.
Significant rotation from Saturday is inevitable but I hope we take the game seriously. The benefits of a good cup run shouldn’t be underestimated in my view.

This is too early in the season for me.. still not overly happy with a 12.30 on Saturday but I guess Sky will piss off a lot of fans this season due to the new deal

Hopefully there are a few tonight who, like me, are getting live footie withdrawal symptoms.
The EFL cup is a great opportunity to see a few members of the squad, who may just miss out on Saturdays, playing alongside 1st teamers.
Also for the 9,000 who went to Old Trafford (me included) it was one of the best CAFC experiences since the playoff final. So I have fond memories of this competition. Looking forward to it.

I’d like to think we have a manager who wants to win as many games as possible and also sees the value in a good cup run, no matter what the competition. Consequently I would expect the strongest team possible to be selected with a few changes from Saturday, Kanu for Campbell for example.
Tough fixture on paper at least. Hoping Sky Sports+ doesn’t cut out early this time!
