Really good half that…..super goal and we had other really good moments when we broke through their midfield…….
So good to see Chucks looking this fit in pre season…..took his goal really well, if we can just keep him fit…..he has been a handful for the experienced Palace centre backs….
No real negatives for me……, I like the way Taylor keeps hold of the ball, Bishop has made some really good forward runs….Mitchell looks a calming influence at the back and Ramsay has done well at RCB…..
I think NJ will be well happy with that first half 👍

Cracking finish by Chuks, what a player he could be if he stays fit. Well chased, held up and set up by Kanu.
Thought Ramsey did really well at RCB and he has brought the ball out well on a couple of occasions also.
Just not sure about LCB and Gillesphey, he seems the week link at present, maybe that's where we need to strengthen.
Looking forward to the second half.

The difference in quality and/or speed of thought is clear, but I’d say this is encouraging.
We’ve obviously got better players than we had last season, but for me the key difference between the situation now and throughout last season is that we’ve got a very clear playing system and plan. The players have been retained and recruited for that system and they understand their roles. By contrast, for a number of different reasons, we were all over the map in this respect last season.
I’ve been impressed by Kanu, who looks stronger, fitter and more savvy than last season. And he suits this system/style of play which is the most important thing.
I’ve always liked 3-5-2, but you obviously need the right players to play that way. I like the idea that we’ve got Mitchell anchoring in the centre (perhaps with Jones as his backup) with a natural right footer (Ramsey) and a natural left footer (Gillesphey) either side, both of whom can play. I suspect we’ll see Edwards favoured on the left so that both he and Small can start in the First XI.
All good it seems to me. I’m sure we’ll aim to improve the squad if we can (on a one in one out basis as I said above), but I’m not convinced there’s a desperate need to do that which is a nice position to be in. We can be opportunistic.

HT 0-1
Some very good performances in a team who 'want it'.
Great goal from Chucks, superb energy from Anderson, Ramsey and Bishop.
I really like what I'm seeing here and it bodes well for next season.
Searing heat too so expect changes at the break.
Just a little footnote for the twitter idiot who pounced all over Gillesphey for allegedly giving the ball away for one of Millwall's goals. Get a life you clown, Gillesphey has passed the ball out from the back brilliantly so far today and looks very comfortable.

Mitchell and Kanu play, does it mean Lloyd Jones and Ahadme are delivering season tickets today?

Ramsay been exceptional in that half . Wasn’t sure about him at centre back but been very Impressed He is certainly giving NJ some options in that RCB role…..tenacious in the tackle and brings the ball out well….

Should also add that I have been very impressed with Terry Taylor's hold up in the first half.
I know we laugh at the saying when referring to an injured players sometimes but he really does look like a new signing.

Dan Potts has come on for us. Ex-West Ham and Luton. Obviously on trial.
Sure Cawley said we weren't interested a few weeks ago.
One of the earliest names mentioned at the beginning of the window.
